Sigh Confirmed For Blastfest 2017

In the heart of winter, in the shadows of the mountains, and in one of the cities most renowned for metal and beauty in the world, Blastfest takes place next February in Bergen, Norway.

The four day festival runs from the 22nd to 25th of February 2017, and following the booting of Peste Noire and Horna from the bill, there has been a steady stream of band announcements for the next edition of the festival.

2017's Blastfest will include a heavy set from Devin Townsend Project, an exclusive "Heaven Shall Burn... When We Are Gathered" set from Marduk, appearances from Memoriam, Between The Buried & Me, Dying Fetus, Hell, Akercocke and the world debut performance of Phil Anselmo’s new Scour project.

Elizabeth To Release New EP

After the recent release of an LP documenting all the band's previous body of work, Switzerland's very own Elizabeth will return in December with new EP "Insomnia."

The EP consists of four new tracks of intense hardcore/crust that will be released on splatter 7" vinyl via Throatruiner Records and Lost Pilgrims Records.

"Insomnia" has been engineered and mixed by Raphaël Bovey (Kruger), re-amped by Kurt Ballou (Converge), and mastered by Magnus Lindberg (Cult Of Luna).

Elizabeth Announces Extended Reissue

Switzerland’s hardcore/crust outfit Elizabeth has announced the extended reissue of the 2012 EP "Where Vultures Land" on vinyl via Throatruiner Records and Lost Pilgrims Records.

More than a simple repress, this edition combines all existing material on the same record, including the band's 2010 five track demo. The following press release was also issued about the band:

"Formed in 2009 in Geneva, Switzerland, Elizabeth has quickly built a reputation with their relentless brand of hardcore/crust and energetic live shows that brought them from La Havane to St. Petersburg. The band will enter this month the Blend Studio with Raphaël Bovey from Kruger to record their next release: four new songs who will appear on a 7" vinyl that is due out in September." More...
