Canadian outfit Thrawsunblat today reveals the artwork for upcoming album "Metachthonia," which can be seen below.

"Metachthonia" follows two EP releases and previous full-length "Wanderer on the Continent of Saplings" from 2013. The new album's track listing is:

Thrawsunblat Posts "Writing Jam" From New Album

Thrawsunblat is currently working on their third album, tentatively titled "Thrawsunblat III." As a preview/teaser for what they're working on, the band has posted a piano/vocal jam from the middle section of the album's first track, which you listen to below.

The bands posted a tongue-in-cheek disclaimer: "This a writing jam. The album version of this will likely end up entirely as blastbeats and soaring guitars."

Thrawsunblat Releases New Acoustic EP

Thrawsunblat, the band featuring members of Woods of Ypres, has released an acoustic EP via the group's bandcamp page. "Vast Arboreal Sky" is a 3-song acoustic EP featuring raw and re-arranged versions of songs from Thrawsunblat's "Canada 2010."

The band commented, "What happens when you take three cold, raw, folkened black metal songs, and set them to acoustic guitars? Well, THIS. Three tracks from Canada 2010 revisited in a woodsy, arboreal soundscape."

Thrawsunblat Announces Acoustic EP

As the follow-up to "Wanderer On The Continent Of Saplings" (reviewed here), Canadian folk metal outfit Thrawsunblat will be releasing a 3 song acoustic EP.

The "Vast Arboreal Sky" EP will feature raw and rearranged versions of "Vastland," "She Arboreal," and "Black Sky." The tracks will be released via the Thrawsunblat Bandcamp profile. More...
