The psychedelic doom purveyors from Dark Buddha Rising will be releasing fifth studio album, "Inversum," this fall. The band's first release on Neurot Recordings, "Inversum" will be unveiled on September 25th, 2015. Elaborates the the band:
"'Inversum' is the opening of the Third Cycle Of Dark Buddha Rising. It acts as an initiation for the new members V. Vatanen (guitar, vocals), J. Saarivuori (keyboards) and M. Neuman (vocals). Also, it is the first release through Neurot Recordings. Most of all, 'Inversum' is the first album that is recorded, produced and mixed by ourselves in the depths of the Wastement, the asylum of eternal feedback.
"The process that led to the manifestation of the Inversum, was heavily guided by both intuition and determination, in order to take the music even further down the path we have chosen. 'Inversum' is a monument built upon the foundation of our work and sculpted with the initial principles of Dark Buddha Rising, to celebrate the Black Arts of Psychedelia."
The album's track listing will be:
1. E S O
2. E X O More...
The ritualistic doom practitioners who make up Dark Buddha Rising are Neurot Recordings' latest signees. The label comments:
"Hailing from Finland and with four albums already under their belt (most recently 2013's Dakhmandal), Dark Buddha Rising conjures psychedelic sprawling space jams made up of expansive yet concentrated bellows of decaying distortion and broken-signal analog bleeps, cannoning across antimatter, and presented with staggering finesse."
Comments the band: "We are more than honored to be a part of the Neurot family. Their music has torn wounds so deep, they still bleed the black blood of inspiration. We share the profound principle towards music as necessity of our existence in this universe. To proceed into the last cycle of the Ennealogy with Neurot Recordings is a predestined path to spread the art of black psychedelia."
Adds Neurot Recordings' Steve Von Till: "Dark Buddha Rising are one of the darkest, trance-inducing bands I have ever witnessed. Neurosis was lucky enough to play several shows with them last year and each night I was completely hypnotized. This is true ritual music that should not be taken lightly. This is a deep, introspective conjuring of those aspects of ourselves that are uncomfortable to come face to face with, but necessary if we are to grow. We feel very lucky to be able to work with them on their next sonic rite." More...
Svart Records has confirmed June 7th as the international release date for Dark Budda Rising's "Dakhmandal." The following press release was issued:
"Due to the nature of the work, the oppressive and circular Dakhmandal will be released primarily as a triple 12" EP, but will also be available on CD and digital download. Drenched in deep mystery, Dark Buddha Rising is a Finnish occult psychedelic drone-doom metal group with no biographical information available.
"Described by Roadburn Festival as 'sprawling dirge of doom metal and myriad cryptic incantations luring the listener into a trance of doom-induced sensory depravation,' the band has released three self-financed full-length albums (Ritual IX, Entheomorphosis, Abyssolute Transfinite) on vinyl only.
