Mortals Premieres "View From A Tower" Music Video

Brooklyn sludge act Mortals premiered the new music video "View From A Tower" over at Metal Injection at this locaiton (also shown in the player below). The song appears on the latest album "Cursed to See the Future," which was issued earlier this month via Relapse Records.

Mortals Streaming New Track "View From A Tower"

Brooklyn sludge act Mortals is streaming the new track "View From A Tower" from the upcoming release "Cursed to See the Future." The album is the band's second full length effort, and its set for release on July 4th (Germany/Benelux), July 7th (UK/World) and July 8th (North America) via Relapse Records in CD, LP and digital formats.

Mortals Announces North American Tour

Brooklyn, NY's Mortals has announced a four week North American tour this Fall. The dates kick off on October 23rd in Brooklyn and run until November 18th in Philadelphia, PA.

The band will be playing its first run of Canadian and West Coast shows and will be performing select dates with -16-, The Body, Barghest, Savagist, and numerous others.

Mortals recently entered the studio to record a full-length debut for Relapse Records. The blackened sludge trio is working with Kevin Bernsten (Mutilation Rites, Magrudergrind, Pulling Teeth) at Baltimore's Developing Nations and will be wrapping up recording upon returning from tour. Mortals Enters The Studio

Brooklyn, NY's Mortals has entered the studio to record a full-length album and first album for Relapse Records.

The blackened sludge trio is working with Kevin Bernsten (Mutilation Rites, Magrudergrind, Pulling Teeth) at Baltimore's Developing Nations. The band previously worked with Bernsten on the self-released 2012 "Death Ritual" EP, which is available for streaming below.

The upcoming full-length will see an early 2014 release. The band commented on the new material, saying: "There are more black metal and thrash influences on this album, but it still sounds like Mortals. This album represents a year's worth of writing, and we're excited to be in the studio and to get the material out there."

Additionally, Mortals is currently booking a three-week U.S. and Canadian tour starting in late October. A full list of dates will be announced shortly. More...

Mortals Signs With Relapse Records

Relapse Records is extremely excited to announce the signing of Brooklyn, NY blackened sludge trio Mortals. The label comments:

"Formed in 2010, Mortals (Elizabeth Cline - guitar & vocals, Lesley Wolf - bass & vocals, Caryn Havlik - drums) have quickly built a reputation for their harrowing concoction of black metal, stoner-swamp-sludge and doom metal, being described by MSN’s Headbang blog as an 'engrossing and devastating version of modern metal," and by Meat Mead Metal as 'massive and crushing.'
