Gemini Syndrome Releases New Video

Gemini Syndrome just debuted the “Sorry, Not Sorry” official music video. taken off the "Memento Mori" album. In addition to the video coming online, look for Gemini Syndrome on the of the "Half God, Half Devil" tour with In This Moment, Motionless In White, and Avatar later this month. The band comments:

“Our brand-new music video for 'Sorry Not Sorry' tells the story about a husband and wife who have lost themselves in vanity and greed. The woman injects herself with large painful needles and cuts her face, while the man chops up a briefcase full of cash and snorts it like drugs. As the wife sits down with her husband at the dinner table, she looks cartoonish, while the husband is sweating over a large mirrored plate of money. Things then really start to take a turn for the worse for them both and you gotta watch to find out their fate.

"The song itself shines a light on the collective mental illness that our society seems to be infected with. Now more than ever, it's so easy to lose ourselves in a false virtual reality that glorifies materialism and self-seeking satisfaction. We've become ironic memes of ourselves, social zombies lost in our devices, where tangible human interaction has become unnecessary and burdensome. We're desensitized from only seeing others and ourselves through self-imposed filters. It's time to wake up from the spell and look ourselves, and each other, in the eye. More...

Chicago Open Air Day Three

Day 3: Sunday 7/17/2016

The best part of being Cuban/Irish is that I'm tan year round but still shrivel up like bacon when exposed to too much sunlight. I had the nastiest sunburn ever which even days later had my forehead covered in acne and the skin on my nose flaking off. And after looking at myself in the mirror, the first two words that came to mind were, “worth it.” As somebody too perpetually broke to wear sunscreen and already shelling out ungodly amounts of money just to stay fed and hydrated, a sunburn was a rather small price to pay to continue to have a really great time.

Since my arctic camo shorts were completely drenched in beer, I decided that now was the time to break out an even more egregious pair of camo shorts. Neon green and black are a pattern that can't blend into any environment which is why I bought them in the first place. Just the most outrageous thing I could possibly own... and now I had an excuse!

I missed the first three acts since I got there late. I kept waking up later each morning due to the sheer quantity of alcohol I was drinking as my car needed engine repairs and that meant that I wasn't driving. That fact that the gates opened earlier with each passing day didn't help either since Gemini Syndrome started playing a full half hour earlier than Through Fire did on Friday. So I ultimately have no opinions on Gemini Syndrome, Upon a Burning Body or We Came As Romans and I'm not going to fabricate a story just for the sake of comprehensiveness. There are some videos on Youtube and I watched them but I still lack anything resembling an opinion since bootlegs can never compare to the real thing. More...

Gemini Syndrome Posts New Video

Gemini Syndrome just released a new music video for "Remember We Die," directed by Bryan Cox and available in the YouTube clip below.

Commented the director: "Working with Gemini Syndrome has been something I've wanted to do since the band debuted in 2010. The second I heard "Remember We Die" I knew I had to make a video for this song. All of the pieces fell into place and it was incredibly gratifying to see everyone so blown away when previewing the video. I hope all the fans enjoy watching this video as much as we enjoyed producing it."

Added Gemini Syndrome drummer Brian Medina: "'Remember We Die' revisits the theme of duality. The main character is dying in a hospital bed. As the doctors struggle to save her, she crosses the veil to save each of their lives from their own destructive pasts. 'Remember We Die' reminds us that our existence is precious. Every moment we are alive is a gift and an opportunity to contribute to the stream of life."

New album "Memento Mori" will be out in stores August 19th via Another Century Records and features the following track listing:

1. Anonymous
2. Remember We Die
3. Zealot
