Texas outfit Morgengrau has issued the following brief announcement online about inking a record deal:
"Morgengrau has signed with Unspeakable Axe Records for our 2014 release. Very pleased and honored to be working with such a great label."
The label also comments: "Austin-based death metal act Morgengrau have joined up with Unspeakable Axe in anticipation of a 2nd full-length. Their first was self-released earlier this year (go get a copy, if you haven't already - it's great old-school death with influences ranging from Asphyx to Pestilence to Slayer to Morbid Angel). The follow-up is expected around summer 2014."

DeathMetal.Org has posted an exclusive premier of the title track off of "Extrinsic Pathway" from Austin, TX-based traditional death metal foursome Morgengrau. With just under a week left until the album's April 2nd release through Blind God Records, listen to the title cut at this location.
Since its inception in 2010, Morgengrau has established itself as a formidable live act, garnering particular attention due to being fronted by former Ignitor frontwoman, Erika (Tandy) Morgengrau, and ex-Manifestation drummer Reba Carls. Both women are well known in the Texas scene for their fierce performances, with Erika having fronted several other well-known bands of various genres, including Autumn Tears. The band focuses conceptually on death worship in all its forms: war, occultism, and horror.
"Extrinsic Pathway" from traditional death metal foursome Morgengrau will be released Tuesday April 2nd through Blind God Records. "Extrinsic Pathway" was recorded at Amplitude Media in Austin, TX and mixed/mastered at Endarker Studio, Sweden by Magnus (Devo) Andersson of Marduk. The album cut "Antithetical" is streaming below. Morgengrau will make their NYC debut at the Martyrdoom Fest on Friday, June 28. Listen to the track "Antithetical" below.
