The Obscene Extreme America mosh pit just keeps getting bigger and bigger. The festival takes place in Montreal, QC from August 20th - 23rd, with the organizers issuing this statement about new confirmations:
"Fatal Flaw - Don’t get fooled by the band name! The only weakness these Montreal crustcore lunatics have is not being able to control the anger & ferocity that goes through their music. Raging crust punk is what you’ll get at OEF America and the only flaw possible is the lack of people in the mosh pit. Don’t make this happen, get your ass in the pit or you will feel the wrath of Fatal Flaw!
"The Drip - They're pissed off & ready to unleash the most barbaric grindcore the east-coast have ever witnessed. Washington State's The Drip deliver merciless fast-paced grind in a non stop onslaught of aggression & intensity. Get ready for a presentation of gruesome poetics while this modern grindcore band spread chaos through their blasting & unhealthy tunes.
"Noisem - Baltimore's Noisem will blast their vicious tunes in such a destructive velocity, it will feel like someone's shredding your fucking face with a cheesegrater. Formerly known as Necropsy, this young band's playing abrasive death metal at a lightning speed, destroying everything in its path. Be apart of the bestial birth of Noisem at OEF!!!
"Homewrecker - Things are going to get ugly at OEF America as Ohio's Homewrecker are back in Montreal with their grinding hardcore harmonies. They will show no mercy as they pummel your face with heavy as hell guitar riffs, punishing vocals & blistering fast drums!"
The previously announced lineup is as follows: More...

The British extreme metal icons from Carcass will return to the United States once again this October/November.
Joining them on select dates are Florida death metal legends Obituary and the eclectic champions of “murder metal," Macabre. Death grinders Exhumed and newcomers Noisem will open each night of churning insanity as well.
“We thought it would be cool to go off the beaten track a bit and play some places that usually get overlooked,” commented Carcass frontman Jeff Walker. “We figure some of the tumbleweeds needed blowing away. Pretty chuffed to have managed to get our pals Obituary to come along on these dates. As anyone who has seen them recently will testify they're tearing it up live nowadays!”

The West Coast gore hounds in Exhumed will take to the streets this Fall on another rash of live incursions with extreme metal technicians Carcass and manic death thrashers Noisem.
Slated to kick off on October 24th in San Diego, the Inked In Steel Tour 2014 will trample nearly two dozen cities with additional sonic devourment from death metal legends Obituary and Macabre on select dates.
From there the band will march overseas for more onstage devastation with Aborted, Origin, and Miasmal. See confirmed shows below.
Comments Exhumed's Matt Harvey: "We've been enjoying a rare few months of quiet in the Exumed camp, but we're finally emerging from the death metal equivalent of cryo-sleep to make some noise again. We're totally psyched to be back out amongst all you mutants and maniacs again for some beers, laughs and our usual brand of heavy metal mayhem. It'll be great to worm our way back into your little black hearts. We couldn't ask for a better tour package than with Carcass and Obituary, and our solo dates will allow us to unleash a full spectrum of stuff onstage - more songs, more production, more Marshall cabinets. It's gonna be a blast (beat). See you fuckers there! Bring beer!" More...

The line to get into Mohawk was split in half between minors and adults. Although The Black Dahlia Murder has more than a decade under its 30-something beltline, the band is still a hot commodity among young listeners. The older demographic spawned by Carcass and Gorguts wasn't always welcoming to the 'core kids and their icons, TBDM; however, in terms of attendance, Decibel Magazine was onto something when they squeezed together, and I do mean squeeze, these disparate bands.
Baltimore, Maryland upstarts, Noisem provided a jolting dose of death/thrash. Featuring tracks culled from their recent "Agony Defied" album, the A389 recording artist played fast and spurned on oncoming body-mass wall. Standing on the first balcony, I often found myself checking out the bang bodies below. Long-hairs and spiked dos came together, often in a brutal-yet-loving fashion.
Baltimore thrash assassins Noisem will undertake their most high profile tour excursion to date next week, as the young crew hits the road on the third annual Decibel Magazine tour.
Noisem's set will be followed each night by performances from Gorguts, The Black Dahlia Murder, and headliners, Carcass. The three week venture gets underway on Tuesday, March 18th in Orlando, Florida before blasting westward infiltrating major cities across the U.S. and Canada before the final gig on April 13th in Silver Spring, Maryland.
The trek is preceded by several one-off Noisem gigs this weekend including a show in Cleveland with lablemates In Cold Blood and Haymaker followed by two shows with Gorguts and The Black Dahlia Murder.
This week, the cover of the April issue of Decibel is out, featuring members of all four acts on the magazine's tour, including Noisem frontman, Tyler Carnes. Additionally, the band recently completed a new recording entitled "Defiled" for Decibel's ongoing flexi-series. The 7" flexi will appear in the May issue of the mag but has been released early in advance of the tour. You can also stream the song "Defiled" right here. More...

Baltimore’s thrash assassins Noisem just released a high-action video for "Severed," the track hailing from the band’s debut LP, "Agony Defined," released in June via A389 Recordings.
The clip was captured by multiple cameras during the band’s searing set at this year’s Maryland Deathfest, produced by Pendragwn Productions, edited by Madison Hartke-Weber, and showcases the undeniably lethal capabilities of this young crew of thrashaholics.
"Severed" can be viewed below, courtesy of Toxicbreed’s Funhouse, who in their review of "Agony Defined" declared the album "filled to the brim with mind shredding guitar solos and excellent thrash sections that channel the golden era material of thrash legends like Anthrax, Slayer and Testament combined with the straight forward death metal assault that recalls Cannibal Corpse's blunt death metal attack on steroids."

Following previous label-based festivals in its backyard over the past few years, Baltimore-based A389 Recordings has locked down a crushing gathering for mid-August. The label comments:
"Set up to offer an alternative to the frigid annual anniversary bashes the label throws in January, yet following the same blueprint of combining label priorities with personal favorites, this killer Summer throwdown has been dubbed the A389 Summer Extinction and is set to take place at Baltimore’s Ottobar club on Friday, August 16th.
"The ruthless all-ages event will feature blazing sets from A389 label acts including local thrash warriors Noisem and infamous noise/grind henchmen Full of Hell, and special guests including Texas d-beaters Impalers, Cleveland killers and label alumni Ringworm, an exclusive fly-in performance from Texas crossover crew Power Trip, and the first area appearance from Virginia-based thrash kingpins Municipal Wate in years. Purchase early bird tickets to the event now at this location."
