Darkology Reveals Further Details On New Album

Texas based power/progressive metal act Darkology, featuring vocalist Kelly Sundown Carpenter (Firewind/Adagio), drummer Brian Harris (Ex-Firewind), guitarist Michael Harris (Arch Rival/Thought Chamber) and bassist Mike Neal (Black Widow/Medieval Steel), revealed additional details on the long awaited sophomore LP "Fated to Burn." For the release, the band has signed on with Prime Eon Media. The exact release date has not yet been announced.

"Fated to Burn" was mixed and mastered by Chris Tsangarides, who has given the album "a tremendous edge and a powerful boon that marries the best aspects of the bands futuristic approach with the golden man’s vast experience behind the console (Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy just to name a few...) to create a sound that is classic yet very into the now."

The band commented: "This is album is a tribute to the old-school and it’s our hope that what we’ve done here will remind the listener why they got into metal in the first place”.

The album's cover art was created by Rainer Kalwitz, the illustrator for bands such as Shadow Gallery, Dare, Praying Mantis. The track listing is as follows:

Darkology Announces New Album Title, Artwork

Texas based power/progressive act Darkology, featuring vocalist Kelly Sundown Carpenter (Firewind/Adagio), announced that the band's long awaited sophomore effort will be entitled "Fated to Burn." The band is streaming an unmastered sample of the title track (heard below).

"Fated to Burn" is the follow up to the 2009 release "Altered Reflections" and is expected out for release by year end. The album was mixed and mastered by Chris Tsangarides. Guitarist Michael Harris spoke about the sound of the album: "This album is a tribute to the old-school and it’s our hope that what we’ve done here will remind the listener why they got into metal in the first place."

Darkology Posts New Album Teaser

Dallas power/progressive act Darkology, featuring Firewind/Adagio vocalist Kelly Sundown Carpenter, posted a teaser for the sophomore effort and follow up to the 2009 release "Altered Reflections." The yet untitled album is tentatively set for a June release through Rock-a-holics Records, with a digital single expected in April/May.

The latest report from the band on the recordings came via a post yesterday on its Official Facebook Page, which reads:

"Finished editing the album and Kelly is finishing the final 2 vocals for the album shortly! !) Final Mixing is about to begin in a couple of hours ! SUPERB !!!!! The album will be done soon !!! LET THE METAL FLOW !"

The band is working with renowned producer and ex-Bitches Sin guitarist Chris Tsangarides (Judas Priest/Angra/Anvil/Helloween) in the U.K. Some tracks names for the album include: "Eyes Of The Machine," "Quantum Genocide," "On Morrow's Break," "Nobot 2" and "Your Hollow Soul."
