Stamina Vocalist To Miss Spanish Tour

Italy's Stamina has issued the following announcement about the band's vocalist missing upcoming tour dates:

"Hi all! We announce that, due to personal issues, singer Jacopo DiDomenico will not attend our Spanish tour in May.

"He will be replaced by Stefano 'Stex' Sbrignadello, a great rock singer and musical theater performer, with years of experience in the hard rock and heavy metal scene. Stex played in both original and cover bands, performing as opening act for bands like Skyclad and Saxon. He is currently active with several live and studio collaborations, and involved in some national musical theater productions.

Stex says: "When I received the call from Luca, I was immediately excited about the opportunity to help the guys of Stamina for the Spanish tour. I’m a big fan of their music and I think that 'Perseverance' is a truly fantastic album, cannot wait to share the stage with such talented musicians and to kindle the Spanish audience!!" More...

Stamina Releases New Music Video

Stamina has released a first music video taken off the "Perseverance" album. Check out the clip for opening track "Higher" in the player below. Guitarist Luca Sellitto also comments:

"We shot the video on three different days with the direction of Elio Di Pace and Vittorio 'Kufa' Citro, in various locations of our area, a friend's house, the University of Salerno, both my houses and down the street. More than fifty friends and local fans kindly offered their help, showing up for some of the scenes. The plot is inherent to the lyrics of the song and it deals with the love story between the two main characters. They've just broken up, but they both accidentally come to our concert and make up with a kiss."

The "Perseverance" album is due to be released via My Kingdom Music on February 24th, 2014. More...

Stamina Issues Recording Update

Guitarist and songwriter Luca Sellitto of Italian act Stamina has checked in with the following recording studio update:

"Hi all! We are glad to announce that most of the rhythm guitar parts for the new album have been recorded.

"As previously revealed, the songs I've written for our new album are a bit more aggressive than our previously released stuff. There are a lot of heavy rhythm guitar riffs, so we (the sound engineer and I) tried to achieve the best possible sound for the parts, experimenting a lot with various microphones and amp's settings. I decided to buy a new cabinet, just before starting my recordings : it's a Carvin Legacy with vintage 30s. The amp is my 'old' Masotti X-Modern 100, which I used on our previous albums too.

"I will start recording guitar solos as soon as possible, but I still have to record some rhythm guitar overdubs, a very heavy seven strings guitar riff and some acoustic guitar parts first. In the meanwhile, all the singers who will appear on our album have already start recording their parts.
We will announce their names very soon. Stay tuned!" More...
