The U.S. release date is set for April 17th.
Guitarist Marios Iliopoulos about the new album:
"We are ready with the recordings of our new album entitled 'A New Disease Is Born' and without a doubt this is the best NIGHTRAGE allbum so far, we worked really hard to make this as perfect as possible, I´m so glad and satisfied with the new songs because we kept the NIGHTRAGE signature metal sound and have combined with the new ideas that Henric and Jimmie brought into the band, you will be amazed of how great the songs and production turned out, JACOB HANSEN RULES, he did an amazing job on the recordings and production of 'A New Disease Is Born'. Metal on!"
Since NIGHTRAGE was formed in Greece by Marios Iliopoulos and guitar hero Gus G (FIREWIND) many prominent figures of metal such as Tomas Lindberg (ex-AT THE GATES, DISFEAR, THE GREAT DECEIVER), Nicholas Barker (DIMMU BORGIR, CRADLE OF FILTH), Per Möller Jensen (THE HAUNTED) has collaborated with the band, and after a few member changes the line-up is now as strong as their vision of metallic perfection. New vocalist Jimmie Strimell has already created a buzz of being one of the new stars on the death metal firmament and the bone crunching drumming of recently acquired drummer Alex Svenningson is sure to leave none un-amazed. Together with guitarist and founder Marios Iliopoulos and bassist Henric Carlsson, NIGHTRAGE is finally an unquestionable unity and have already proved their worth as an almighty metal machine on tour right up to the recording of “A New Disease is Born.”
Nightrage guitarist, Marios iliopoulos, has checked in from Finland with the following tour report:
"We are in Oulou-Finland tonight and the tour going really cool and smooth so far, we have quality time with the guys from Vader and bloodthorn.
"We introduce also a new song in our set-list named Encircle and people seemed to liked it a lot.
"We are looking forward to record the new album starting at the 30th of November at Jacob Hansen studios, we met actually Jacob at our first show on the tour and he is a really cool and nice guy to be with. So we are going to have a blast recording with him the new album.
"Marios on behalf of NR."
Malevolent Creation has completed the writing and pre production demos for 13 songs and will begin the recording of their 10th full length album "DOOMSDAY X" in the coming weeks of November.
"We're very happy with the direction the music has taken for this new album with song writing credit's by each of the band members, and each song having it's own identity but retaining the classic Malevolent Creation sound," The band said in its release. "It is truly amazing to have everyone writing for this album and bring's a lot of new idea's to the songs. Fear not, each song is extremely brutal and covers a lot of territory as far as extreme metal is concerned. We have definitely had some huge obstacles to overcome to get this album written, but we are finally satisfied with all the music and are anxious to start recording."
The album's recording and touring line up is:
Jon Rubin - guitars
Phil Fasciana - guitars
Dave Culross - drums
Jason Blachowicz - bass
Brett Hoffmann - vocals
