Connecticut’s Wrench In The Works has announced their decision to disband. They released two records with Facedown Records.
The band comments, “After over a decade of playing music together Wrench In The Works has officially decided to call it quits. We would like to thank everyone at Facedown Records for believing in us, giving us an opportunity and most of all being our friends. We would also like to thank all of the amazing bands we toured/played with and became friends with through our travels as well as all of the people we met and became friends with, it was definitely awesome and we couldn’t have done it without you. We have A LOT of merchandise left over and we want to get rid of it, our band never set out to make money so we are selling all of our shirts for $5 and all proceeds go to a ministry we believe in called Project AK-47. They help free child soldiers in Southeast Asia so please help out and buy a shirt.”

Connecticut's Wrench in the Works has posted a new song on their MySpace page entitled "Project AK-47."
The band comments on the origin and lyrics of the song, "This past Cornerstone Festival we learned about the ministry Project AK-47 (bases in TN) and what they are all about. It really just hit close to home for us as a band and we felt a Godly calling to support them and bring awareness to people. Even to the point of us writing a song called 'Project AK-47' on our new record which is inspired about the ministry."
"Basically the calling Project AK-47 has is to save child soldiers in southeast Asia(over 300,000 kids) who have been kidnapped, orphaned or deceitfully recruited to serve as soldiers in government armies or drug cartels. For $7 you can save a child through this ministry. Just think about what you were doing at age 7 or your little brother or sister or nephew or niece and then think about yourself or them training with a machine gun. To have your freedom taken away and to be forced to into oppression. It makes my stomach turn to think about what these kids go through in the fear they must face everyday. Love Jesus or hate Jesus you still can't deny that this is wrong and needs change."

"With great excitement and anticipation we welcome Wrench In The Works to the Facedown Family. After hearing their songs, meeting them and seeing them live, we knew that we had to work with this band and we are excited to spread the word about them through Facedown. These guys have been booking their own shows all over the East Coast and nationwide for the past few years and their work ethic is very strong and the music is undeniably heavy and creative. Make sure to head over to their myspace page to check out some songs, and send them a message. They are playing the upcoming Stillborn Fest on Dec. 23 in New Haven, CT w/ Hatebreed, God Forbid, Agnostic Front and many more. They are currently finishing the writing for their Facedown debut that will be engineered and produced this spring by Mike Schleibaum of Darkest Hour for a summer 2008 release. After the album is recorded the band will be hitting the road continuously with stops planned at Facedown Fest in Pomona, CA (March 28-29) and then on to the summer festivals."
"Check them out at Myspace here."
