Boston power/thrash metal veterans Meliah Rage have recently released a video for "Where Nothing Ever Grows," which can be viewed below. The clip was produced by Brad Piche and Branden Maxham of Omnidawn Productions, who previously worked with the band on the "Hourglass" and "Halo of Flies" videos.
The song comes from Meliah Rage's seventh full-length album "Dead to the World," released in July 2011 through Metal on Metal Records, and lyrically deals with post-traumatic stress disorder. In the role of the soldier suffering from PTSD you can see none other than the band's own bass player Darren Lourie.
Meliah Rage has been confirmed as the Friday night headliner for the 6th edition Warriors Of Metal Fest Open Air that will take place on June 27th-29th 2013 in Pataskala, Ohio. Band founder and guitarist Anthony Nichols states: "We in Meliah Rage are excited to announce that we will be headlining the first night of Warriors Of Metal Fest VI Open Air next year which will be the 25th anniversary of our debut release 'Kill to Survive' and so we shall play the majority of the songs from that record during our set. This will be our one and only appearance in the midwestern United States region in 2013 and with any luck we'll have a new record out by then as well!" More...

Meliah Rage has issued the following announcement about signing to Metal on Metal Records and posting a new music video online:
"It's official, we have signed with Italy's Metal On Metal Records! After going through a courting process with a few labels from around the globe, we are psyched to be working with Metal On Metal. Jowita & Simone (label heads) are true professionals, full-on metalheads, and the real deal, and we're looking forward to the journey ahead.
"We're currently wrapping things up in the studio on our next full-length, 'Dead to the World,' slated for a July release.
"This will coincide with our first visit to Europe in over 20 years as we hit the Headbangers Open Air Festival in Germany in late July, and we'll be looking to return for a proper tour in the fall/winter. We also recently released the video for 'Halo of Flies,' our first ever recorded cover tune (originally done by Alice Cooper on the 'Killer' record back in '71)."
Meliah Rage has issued the following announcement about a lineup change and working on a new album:
"It's been quite some months since we updated this page, so it's time to catch up with things and tell you what's been going on in the Meliah camp recently.
"First of all, Paul Souza has returned to the band to record our new full length CD as well as our first ever cover song, 'Halo of Flies' (originally on Alice Cooper's 1971 classic 'Killer' LP). The song will be a bonus track on the soon to be re-released remix of 2004's 'Barley Human' (that will be officially called 'Barely Human Remix').
"Our original singer Mike Munro has become very dedicated to his church and recently spent time volunteering in Haiti - he felt these and other missions of goodwill would not allow him the flexibility of schedule to tour with Meliah Rage.
"We feel very fortunate that we have the ability to work with Paul again, complete this CD and play some shows. Souza was the singer when we toured with Metal Church across the U.S. in 2007.
"Our next album will be called 'Dead To The World' and is slated for a July release (the label to put it out will be announced very soon). It will coincide with our (first in 21 years) visit in Europe: we'll play at the Headbangers Open Air festival in Germany on July 29th. We're currently looking for other shows possibilities too. As far as the new album is concerned: we've already tracked all instruments and we're very excited about how things are progressing. All that remains now are the vocals!"
Boston thrash metal band Ravage has issued the following update:
"It's been a while, so first I'd like to say thanks to everyone who came out to see Ravage live last year on our first full US tour - it ended disastrously, but it was good to meet many new friends and fans out there along the way and we appreciate everyone's support and we hope to get to all the places we've missed as soon as possible. We are hopefully returning to the Southwest in May and we hope to make up the Las Vegas show and get to Arizona again as well as playing New Mexico for the first time. We also hope we can get into Canada some time this year. Additional thanks to everyone who picked up our Metal Blade Records debut CD 'The End Of Tomorrow.' The album was the culmination of a lot of hard work and headaches and it was nice to finally get it out there. Finally, thanks to everyone who put the record on their top albums lists for 2010, that was very cool of you. Now on to the current and future happenings..." More...

Boston power metallers MELIAH RAGE are currently hard at work in the studio on their next release, tentatively due to hit stores this summer on Screaming Ferret Wreckords. The band are holed up at Red Devil Recording in Stoughton, MA with Rich Spillberg (former WARGASM guitarist) handling the production duties alongside Meliah Rage mainman Anthony Nichols.
"As some of you might know we recently parted ways with vocalist Paul Souza," says Nichols, "The only reason for the split is that Paul's schedule makes it difficult for him to tour. We are presently working on a new record and have plans for some summer 2008 touring. Anyone interesed in the position can contact us thru our MySpace page or via our website. If you have already sent an email feel free to try again as we might have missed a few in the shuffle." More...

The band are holed up at Red Devil Recording in Stoughton, MA with Rich Spillberg (former WARGASM guitarist) handling the production duties alongside Meliah Rage mainman Anthony Nichols. Drum tracks are all but finished, and the band flew in METAL CHURCH frontman Ronny Munroe this past weekend to lay down vocals on 'Last Rites', "one of many tunes on the new slab that lean toward Meliah's thrashier roots, which is sure to please hardcore fans and garner the band some new listeners in the process," according to a band update.
Bassist Darren Lourie heads into the studio this month to lay down his tracks, with the rest of the band to follow over the course of the winter. The band have added a couple of pictures from this past weekend's session at their Myspace page.
Boston-based power metallers MELIAH RAGE have announced that they will be parting ways with the band’s second vocalist, Paul Souza. The band will immediately begin the search for a replacement while continuing to work on the next Meliah Rage release.
“Back in 2003 when we decided to start making new music again after six years off, Paul was the first person we called when original vocalist Mike Munro decided that he could commit to touring,” explained Meliah Rage founder Anthony Nichols. “Paul has recorded two records with us and played over 100 live shows (including a recent tour with METAL CHURCH) since joining the band—we will always consider Souza a friend and an important part of Meliah Rage history,” Nichols added.
Like Munro, Souza was unable to meet the new touring schedule that looms in the near future for band.

Song titles set to appear on the CD include "Permanently Damaged", "Twisted Wreck" and "Undefeated".
Original Meliah Rage drummer Stuart Dowie has rejoined the underrated Boston metallers. Dowie was part of the classic Meliah Rage lineup that released 1988's "Kill To Survive" and 1990's "Solitary Solitude."

Guitarist Anthony Nichols, guitarist Jim Koury and bass guitarist Jesse Johnson, all original members, are joined by new vocalist Paul Souza and drummer Barry Spillberg (formerly of Wargasm) on "Barely Human."
