Polish death metallers DECAPITATED will enter Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland on August 1 with producers Slawek and Wojtek Wieslawski to begin recording their new album, entitled "Organic Hallucinosis". The follow-up to 2004's "The Negation" will feature artwork and layout by Seth (ROTTING CHRIST, PARADISE LOST) and is tentatively scheduled for release in January/February 2006.
DECAPITATED will embark on a European headlining tour in September, with support from GOREROTTED, DETONATION and DAM. A U.S. tour with VADER and DEW-SCENTED will follow in November.
DECAPITATED recently parted ways with vocalist Sauron and replaced him with Covan, formerly of ATROPHIA RED SUN.
"Rituals of Time" comes off the group's upcoming CD, "Issue VI", slated for release in Europe on June 20 and North America on July 12 via Nuclear Blast Records. The U.S. version of the album will include a bonus track, "The Torrent". Similarly, the Japanese edition of the CD, due on June 22, will feature the bonus cut "Full-Blown Revenge". A special limited-edition bloodred vinyl version of "Issue VI" will be released on June 24 via Beniihana Records (more info on www.beniihana-records.com).
The follow-up to 2003's "Impact", "Issue VI" (view cover here) was recorded at Stage One studios in Borgentreich, Germany with producer Andy Classen (CALLENISH CIRCLE, TANKARD, OCCULT). Classen, who produced the previous DEW-SCENTED albums "Inwards" (2002) and "Impact", "did an outstanding job once [again] and definitely managed to deliver his best production (for us, at least...) ever!" the band write on their web site.
Regarding their recent and upcoming live appearances, DEW-SCENTED write, "We had a great time over at Minneapolis Mayhem festival in the U.S. earlier this month. Thanks to everybody we met there...we look forward to seeing you back in November on the coast-to-coast North American tour (more details on this soon!). Actually, due to the commitment for the next U.S. tour, we had to again cancel our previously confirmed appearance on the IX Metal Forces Festival in November. Sorry about that...we will appear on the 2006 edition instead! Oh and yeah, of course, we are soon to confirm European touring for later 2005 as well. More details soon!" A complete listing of upcoming DEW-SCENTED shows can be found here.
German thrashers Dew-Scented have posted the following message on their website:
Things are moving along quickly in the Dew-Scented camp for the release of "Issue VI," so let us give you some brief update:
We just returned from some shows with our Swedish friends and Death Metal originators Grave and those were a blast! Thanks to everybody who came out!
We also just finished shooting the first Dew-Scented video clip ever. We went for the new track 'Turn To Ash' and spent two intense days in Leipzig recording. A first raw version of the clip already looked really promising. Can't wait to get the final version!
As already announced: Nuclear Blast Records will be putting the new album out by June 20th in Europe and we are almost done with all details for an exclusive bonus DVD that will come along with the first pressing of the album. It will include the video clip as well as 17 (!) live-tracks recorded at diverse cool shows in Paris (La Locomotive), Strasbourg (La Laiterie), Ludwigsburg (Rockfabrik), Summer Breeze Festival as well as Wacken Festival throughout the last years but it also includes parts of a brand new show we captured last weekend in Ludwigshafen (Das Haus) at the "Metal Meeting XVII" festival in front of some 700 people. Pretty heavy stuff indeed!
We are currently of course also working on securing a good European tour around autumn, but nothing is fully decided yet. Right now, we will head out to the US to play at the Minneapolis Mayhem festival next weekend with Sadus, Usurper and many other bands but we can already promise you that we will be coming back for a full North American tour in November. More details about that soon...
German thrashers SODOM have officially cancelled their previously announced appearance at this weekend's Minneapolis Mayhem 2 festival. According to the event's organizers, "SODOM canceled the show due to the fact that they did not get their paper work from the delivery service to get their work visas. A new headliner will be announced shortly."
Minneapolis Mayhem 2, set to take place May 6-7 at Star Central in Columbia Heights, Minnesota, will include appearances by DEW-SCENTED, USURPER, NOVEMBERS DOOM, SADUS and AVENGER OF BLOOD, among others.
