Black Majesty Confirmed For Basinfirefest

Australian metallers Black Majesty have been announced as part of the Basinfirefest line-up scheduled for the 2nd - 4th of July, 2010 in Spalene Prorici, Czech Republic. Further details on the festival can be found at this location. Black Majesty will be touring Europe throughout June and July in support of their upcoming album "In Your Honour," which will be released through Limb Music. Black Majesty To Headline Bla Bla Bla Festival

Australian metallers Black Majesty have issued the following update about headlining the Bla Bla Bla Festival:

"Black Majesty will headline the 'Bla Bla Bla' Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 21st of February 2010. This marks Black Majesty’s first ever performance on Indonesian soil, with a full headline set spanning selections from the band's entire back catalogue. With over 40 bands scheduled to appear at the festival on the 20th and the 21st of February, this promises to be an amazing time for all who attend!"

Black Majesty Reveals New Album Details

Australian melodic power metal band Black Majesty have announced "In Your Honour" as the title of their upcoming album. Roland Grapow will mix the album at Grapow studios in Slovakia. Some of the new song titles include: "Far Beyond," "Millenium," "Further than Insane," "End of Time," and "Break these Chains." The album is scheduled to be released in early 2010 through Limb Music.

Black Majesty To Enter Studio Later This Year

Australian melodic power metallers Black Majesty will enter the studio in August 2009 to begin recording the follow up to "Tomorrowland," tentatively due in early 2010 via Limb Music Products. Recording, mixing and mastering sessions are set to take place in Australia, Slovakia and Germany. Song titles set to appear on the new CD include: Two Hearts, Wish You Well, God of War, Witching Hour and Far Beyond.

Black Majesty will support Paul Di'anno of Iron Maiden fame on three of his forthcoming Australian tour shows.

Australian's Rock Out Festival Postponed

Australia's recently announced Rock Out Festival has been postponed until later this year. Here's the update from the organizers:

“MTD4 and Blade Promotions after consultation with the venues and major stakeholders including the International Artists, have decided that it is in the best interest of all parties concerned to postpone the event to Sept/Oct this year.

"The new dates will be advised as soon as possible.

"We anticipate announcing additional headline bands to join those previously listed as the postponement allows us to restore the event to our original concept including multiple stages, all ages ticketing and camping at all sites.

"We apologise if this postponement causes any inconvenience to those that have already purchased tickets to our event and encourage them to contact us directly - contact@rockoutfestivals.com.au"

The original festival dates that have been postponed are:

Twisted Sister, Rose Tattoo Added to Rockout Fest

American glam rockers Twisted Sister have been announced as the new headliner for the Australian east coast’s Rockout Festival, that will be hitting up Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in April. Also recently added to the line-up includes Rose Tattoo, Black Majesty and Five Star Prison Cell. More acts will be added in the weeks leading up to the festival.

Black Majesty Recording New Album

Black Majesty, hailing from Melbourne, Australia, have kicked off the recording process of their third studio album, which is as yet untitled. The recording is taking place at Palm Studios in Melbourne, and Endel Rivers is once again on-board as producer of the project. The album is expecting a mid-2007 release in order to fall in line with the bands' European tour, which will include such gigs as the Masters of Rock festival in the Czech Republic, and a performance at Wacken Open Air in Germany.

Black Majesty Supports Nevermore On Upcoming Tou

Australian power metal band BLACK MAJESTY will support U.S. metallers NEVERMORE in Melbourne and Sydney on their upcoming Australian tour. This is hot off the heels off their recent Australia-wide tour with DRAGONFORCE. A live performance of the song "A Better Way to Die", recorded in Melbourne, Australia, can be viewed at YouTube.com.

BLACK MAJESTY has been busy writing the follow-up to its 2005 release "Silent Company", which they will begin recording early 2007. The album is slated for a mid-2007 release through the German label Limb Music Products.

Black Majesty Confirmed For Progpower Australia

Australian power metallers BLACK MAJESTY will take part in ProgPower Australia XXVI, set to take place February 11, 2006 at the Gaelic Club in Sydney. Other acts already confirmed for the event include VANISHING POINT, EYEFEAR, LORD, ALARUM, VOYAGER, TRANSCENDING MORTALITY, WITHOUT ENDING, TEMPLATE, FRIAR RUSH, TALISEN and FEEDING THE ADDICTION. This show will be an all-ages event.

In other BLACK MAJESTY-related news, be sure to checkout Australian Guitar magazine's 50th Issue, which features an interview with BLACK MAJESTY guitarist Stevie, plus the track "Dragon Reborn" (from BLACK MAJESTY's "Silent Company" album), which is included on the magazine's cover-mounted CD. Black Majesty To Begin Recording Second Album

Australian power metallers BLACK MAJESTY will begin recording their second album with acclaimed producer (and of course vocalist/guitarist of Iron Savior) Piet Sielck in Germany. The band will commence recording drums in November 2004 at K.A.R.O Studios in Germany. Sielck's production duties already include Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, Grave Digger and Saxon. Black Majesty have spent the last 6 months in pre production aiming for a mid 2005 release through their Limb Music Products label.
