From time to time, the metal scene gives birth to challenging bands, and the Netherlands' Villainy is one of those artists who have been willing to explore new extreme metal shores with great balance, and without compromising the mood and utter darkness initially offered.
Now Villainy presents second full-length album, "Villainy II: Dim," set for North American release on February 12th, 2016 via Listenable Records.
Villainy's new album features three chapters. Each chapter has a different conceptual twist to the same philosophical questions - essentially, life in all its forms. The recently reformed sludgecore beasts from Raging Speedhorn will be bringing their filthy riffs to the Ronnie James Dio main stage of the upcoming Bloodstock festival. The band’s Gordon Morison comments: “We’re over the moon to be playing Bloodstock 2015. It’ll be awesome to share the stage with some of our old friends like Orange Goblin and Napalm Death. See you down the front!”
Progressive metal Brits Xerath also bring the heavy to Friday’s main stage. The band enthuses, "We are utterly stoked to announce we will be returning to Catton Hall once again to perform at this year's Bloodstock festival. We are especially proud to confirm we will be gracing the mainstage for the first time since our debut at the festival in 2009 which promises to almost certainly be a career defining moment for the band. We sincerely cannot wait to see you all there! Warm up those necks Bloodstockers!"

Villainy has released new 7" EP "The View From My Ivory Tower" via Helldprod Records, which follows debut album "Villainy I."
You can stream the tracks below, and Helldprod Records comments: "The songwriting has grown as well as the overall vibe. The material on the EP is more massive, epic and thunderous with a raw feel identical to the Villainy live shows."

Dutch metal band Villainy has started the recordings for a first full-length album at the Pighouse Studio along with Marc van Duivenvoorde (Herder, Feast). The process is expected to be wrapped up later this month.
Today Villainy has also released a new demo featuring two songs. You can check out the tracks "I Wanna Split the World in Two" and "City of Secrets" below.
Dutch metal act Villainy has started the recordings for the band's first full-length album at the Pighouse Studio.
The recording is taking place with Marc van Duivenvoorde (Herder, Feast) who recently also did an album Dutch death metallers Entrapment. The recording process is scheduled to wrap up at the end of November.
Meanwhile, on the 9th of November, Villainy will also release a second demo. This demo will feature two new songs, with a total length of 12 minutes. Downloads of the tracks will be made available online via bandcamp. The track listing is:
