Thyrane Regroups, Announces Demo Re-Release

After calling it quits back in 2006, Finnish black metal group Thyrane has come back together and is re-releasing the "Black Harmony" demo first released all the way back in '97. The band comments:

"We've made plans with Woodcut Records to re-release some of Thyrane's older material in different formats. The 'Black Harmony' demo/mcd will be re-released on CD, C-cassette and vinyl!

"The CD and the cassette will be exactly the same as the original editions, but the vinyl version has been remastered in Necromorbus Studio in Stockholm, Sweden. A limited edition 'Black Harmony' t-shirt will also be available! Stay tuned for more!" More...

Thyrane Call It Quits and Cancel Farewell Dates

Last month, Finnish metallers THYRANE posted the following brief message at their website:

"Thyrane no more (1994-2006)."

On the heels of the announcement the band issued another message, stating: "Thyrane will not be performing the farewell shows announced (nor any other shows)."

Thyrane released what would end up being their last album, Travesty Of Heavenly Essence, on November 16th, 2005 through Spikefarm Records.

Thyrane Part Ways With Guitarist

Finland's Thyrane have parted ways with guitarist Avather for "personal reasons." A replacement guitarist has yet to be announced.

Thyrane, who last summer announced the addition of session drummer Kristonic (a.k.a. T. Kristian, Yearning, Saattue, Carcase INC.) to the group's ranks, released their third full-length effort, "Hypnotic", in 2003 through Century Media Records. The album, which was released in Finland through Spikefarm Records, was mixed at SundiCoop Studios and mastered at Finnvox Studios

Thyrane Name New Session Drummer

Finland's Thyrane have posted this message on their official website:

Again our session drummer has been changed. Kristonic a.k.a. T. Kristian (Yearning, Saattue, Carcase Inc.) is with us again. We´ve also considered him as a permanent drummer from now on, so maybe you´ll hear him on our next studio album. Studio has not been reserved yet but 8 songs are waiting for it. A sample or two of the demo versions may appear to thyrane.org some day. Semmosta.
