“Hey f(r)iends! We're touring Europe right now with Incantation and Krisuin in support of our brand new record, Demigod. The new songs have been sounding great live and we can't wait to play them for our U.S. fans! It seems we will be conquering North America a few times next year; I have just gotten the confirmation for the King Diamond/Nile tour. All I have to say is this is my dream line up! Playing before living legends such as the King and Nile is more than an honor! We hope to see you all soon! HORNS UP!”

Boston-based quintet Diecast just shot a video for "Medieval" with acclaimed director Dale Resteghini (Fear Factory, Hatebreed). The track comes off of the band's highly anticipated new album, "Tearing Down Your Blue Skies," set for an October 19th release. Jeremy Wooden (bass) checks in with the following band update:
Diecast just had a very busy weekend. First I'd like to thank Mike Hsu and WAAF for the interview on Harder Faster on Thursday night. On Friday, we shot our first video for our single "Medieval." I'd like to thank Scott Lee for being so cooperative and allowing us to use Fat Cat's if we had needed it. At the last minute we were able to end up shooting the video at Fort Revere in Hull, which was amazing. We were expecting a few cameras and a couple of people for the video. What we got were 4 box trucks full of equipment and a 15 person video crew. Dale and his crew were some of the best people we've ever met. We had camera's on mini railroad tracks, lighting, fog machines, guns, hookers and fire-trucks. For a minute I thought I was playing bass for Britney Spears....it was awesome. I'd like to thank all of our friends we haven't seen in a long time for coming out to be in the video. We even had a surprise guest appearance by the almighty hoods in the video.
On Saturday night we played a hometown show at Club Liquid, which is about a mile from my house. The club took great care of us and the show went well minus the fight that happened and some asshole owes me 150.00 for putting their foot through my bass case. We topped it off on Sunday at WAAF sponsored Locobazooka. Unfortunately, for us and Candiria we went on after Damageplan who closed their set with "Walk" by Pantera. That was a tough act to follow but Candiria ripped it up, brought all the kids running back over and the crowd gave us an amazing reaction. Kids were singing our new stuff all the way to the back of the crowd, which was amazing to us. I'd also like to thank our manager Mike Crowley and his buddy Kevin for helping out all weekend. Last but not least we finally got scrims and a banner, which almost made me cry tears of joy. Thanks everyone for a great weekend and we'll see you soon.
Diecast will also embark on a string of headlining west-coast dates in early November. It has been three years since the band hit this area and these shows are not to be missed.
10/15 The Edge - Augusta, ME (Record Release Show)
10/16 Downtime - New York, NY (CMJ Showcase)
10/17 The Bomb Shelter - Manchester, NH
10/31 The Kave - Bucksport, ME (Halloween Party)
11/04 The Whisky - West Hollywood, CA w/ All Shall Perish
11/05 Big Game - Fresno, CA
11/06 Chain Reaction - Anaheim, CA w/ Cattle Decapitation, Black Dahlia Murder

Here's from the official Unearth site:
As most of you know the last date of this summer's Ozzfest was cancelled in West Palm Beach, Florida due to Hurricane Frances. It sucks for both the fans waiting to attend the concert and the bands wanting to go out with a bang live and actually get to have one last night of the greatest Ozzfest to date. Mother nature didn't want it to happen, so it is done a day early. Please everyone in Florida be safe!
We had a blast all summer long playing to huge crowds (in the a.m. mostly), meeting the fans, hanging with the second stage bands, watching Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Slayer on a nightly basis, and flat out just having the time of our lives. We will always remember Ozzfest 2004. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.
See you all on the road this fall. The new dates are up for our headlining run with Terror, The Black Dahlia Murder and Remembering Never.
Here are all of the dates for the Unearth, Terror, The Black Dahlia Murder, Remembering Never tour: More...
Unearth vocalist Trevor Phipps has issued this tour update:
We can't thank people enough for making the entire summer kick ass so far. The shows have been amazing, the bands have all fucking ruled and there has been plenty of dice rolling, golf cart mishaps and classic metal barbeque parties. We have under two weeks left on Ozzfest and we will soon be gearing up for our full US headlining tour starting September 23rd with Terror, The Black Dahlia Murder and Remembering Never. Dates for that tour will be available this week. See you all on the road soon.
Bottle Rocket Fest 2004 will be held at the Masonic (on Temple Avenue) in Detroit, MI on September 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Tickets are $15 per day ($13 on Friday). Here's the lineup: More...

"Things have been going well for the BDM camp. We just completed the Canadian leg of the tour with Cannibal Corpse and it was a great success. Much alcohol was consumed. Props to Neuraxis, Despised Icon, Lapidate, Three Inches of Blood and Gene Hoglan for showing us a good time."
A live review and photos of the Cannibal Corpse / The Black Dahlia Murder show on Monday, July 19 at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC has been posted here. THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER have issued the following update on their official site:
"First of all, we in THE BLACK DAHLIA camp want to apologize for the lack of updates. From now on, the updates will be handled by Dave and myself, so you can expect to finally know what is going on with the band.
The ETID and VITAL REMAINS tours were a complete success. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us, put us up, etc. We greatly appreciate your kindness.
We also played Download Fest in the UK a few weekends ago. Although we played at the same time as MACHINE HEAD AND HATEBREED, the set was a success. We also drank free Aftershock and saw BURST. So fuck you. Props to the guys in Johnny Truant for taking care of us.
The “A Cold-Blooded Epitaph” rerelease is nearing completion, and should be available in the next couple of months. The artwork is again being handled by Black Market Activities own Adam Wentworth.
This brings us up to our most recent BDM news: drummer Cory Grady has been asked to leave the band due to personal and professional conflicts. Cory has been in the band since its inception, and it was not an easy decision on our part. In the good news, we are honored to welcome Zach Gibson to the throne, and can assure you that you will be seeing us on our summer tour with the mighty CANNIBAL CORPSE. We will spend four weeks as direct support for CANNIBAL CORPSE and SEVERED SAVIOR opening; following will be a two week headlining stint with CATTLE DECAPITATION and GOATWHORE
Eat pussy and freak out"
The Black Dahlia Murder have revealed plans to shoot a video for "Funeral Thirst," from their latest album, "Unhallowed." The video will be directed by Jason Joseph, who also directed the band's "Contagion" video.
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER have given 2 member updates from their recent tour of Japan:
"We could not have prepared for how amazing the trip to Japan was. The entire week from start to finish was a riot. We drank, ate some cow tongue (well, I did), thrashed, puked, took the bullet train, met Shadow and Vomit Remnants, browsed the chloroform porn, hit bellies with Slags, and ate McDonalds everyday. The fans were absolutely amazing, and taught us all that blast beats are the universal language." - Trevor
"It was definitely a little bittersweet to come home after touring Japan. The people are as amazingly unique and pissed as the country they live in. We all thank them for showing their most sincere appreciation for metal. Your energy, conviction, and love for world music has given us all a renewed thirst. Thank you for your inspiration!" - Brian
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER video for "Contagion" will be airing Sunday, February 22 at 1:11 pm PST/EST on Fuel TV's new show SPLIT. Check your local listing for cable/satellite channel.
