Arizona-based extreme metal band ABIGAIL WILLIAMS have issued the following update:
"We are now gearing up to record our first full-length CD for Candlelight Records, which we think will hit stores in the fall. Right now we are currently hammering out pre-production demos and putting the final touches on some new songs. We are also happy to announce that we are working with drummer Zach Gibson (GUTROT, IN BATTLE ARRAY, ex-BLACK DAHLIA MURDER) for the album as well as some upcoming tour stuff. We will be busy rehearsing with this dude this month until early June and then it's off to the studio."
According to a recent press release, ABIGAIL WILLIAMS "take their influences from the best of the best from the old and the new and blend it into a unique and multifaceted hybrid. They have the groove and melody of the Gothenburg-style death metal, the face smashing breakdowns of the hardcore scene topped with the bombastic and epic approach favoured by the frostbitten black metal hordes. Starting only in the summer of 2005, a home recorded demo was put together to showcase the songs Ken Sorceron [vocals, guitar] had written over the years and featured Ashley Jurgemeyer on piano/keys. Connor Woods laid down the vocals and before long the demo, dubbed 'Gallow Hill', was born. These songs were distributed on the Internet via band pages set up on MySpace and PureVolume and, purely by word of mouth, resulted in an astonishing quarter of a million plays in just six months! Inspired by the response to his music, Ken put a full line up together featuring some ex-members of the Metal Blade act VEHEMENCE and started to play local shows with a view to branching out further. Unfortunately this line-up didn't work out and soon Ken was back working solely with Ashley. Local guitarist Brad Riffs was found and a new demo song, entitled 'Watchtower', was recorded with Ken now also taking up the vocal role. Throughout the line-up changes and everything else, Candlelight Records were waiting in the wings and watching developments with bated breath. Once the new stable line-up was put into place, a multi-album, worldwide deal was signed."
ABIGAIL WILLIAMS's upcoming CD will be recorded with the legendary James Murphy (TESTAMENT, DEATH, OBITUARY) at his new Florida-based production facility. ABIGAIL WILLIAMS look forward to hitting the road with a vengeance in the later part of 2006, including a prestigious slot on one of the EMPEROR reunion shows and a U.K. tour with friends SUICIDE SILENCE.
The Black Dahlia Murder have announced two latest additions to the band: Drummer Pierre Langois and bassist Bart Williams. After both musicians toured with the band on their co-headlining run with Throwdown and their European dates with Liar they decided these were the guys they wanted to join to their group fulltime.
Here's what guitarist Brian Eschbach had to say: "We are very proud to announce the additions of Bart and Pierre to the BDM fold. We have already completed two tours together and feel that there are many more to come."

Drummer Zach Gibson, formerly of THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, who was removed from the band on the last date of their recent US tour, has posted the following message on his MySpace page:
"Yes, the rumors are true, I AM NO LONGER THE DRUMMER FOR THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER........I was asked to leave the band after our last show on the BTBAM/CEPHALIC CARNAGE/INTO THE MOAT tour 10/28/05 in Detroit,Michigan, our home...I was quitting anyways and they knew it,they just wanted to save face and beat me to the punch.I'm gonna sound like a total asshole, but anyone that knows me knows that this is the truth and i'm very very far from being a dick head.....BDM is nothing without me,they were nothing until I joined.Had I not joined last year when I did, they never would've continued, and even if they did, half the shit they did with me in the band would've never happened, and Miasma wouldn't have turned out the way it did, they know all of this is true as well, because i've been told by them many a times.I want everyone to know that reads this that Brian from BDM is a total dickhead and doesn't care about anything accept making money, and on top of that, he is not half as good of a musician as you may think,he is one of the most un-talented musicians i've ever played with. He doesn't care about friendships, having fun(Basically really being in a band).....More...
As has been rumored as of late, The Black Dahlia Murder drummer Zach Gibson and bassist David Lock are no longer with the group. Black Dahlia Murder had the following to say about the move:

For his part, Gibson has issued the following statement:
"Yes, the rumors are true, I am no longer the drummer for The Black Dahlia Murder. I was asked to leave the band after our last show on the BTBAM/Cephalic Carnage/Into The Moat tour 10/28/05 in Detroit, Michigan, our home...I was quitting anyways and they knew it, they just wanted to save face and beat me to the punch."
