Tellus Requiem Recruits New Vocalist

After parting ways with vocalist Ben Rodgers earlier this month, Tellus Requiem has now issued the following announcement about bringing on a replacement member:

"Meet Frank Risvik the new singer in Tellus Requiem! We played together for the first time EVER last night ON THE STAGE!!!!

"We're talking NO rehearsal before the show, just cut to the case, jump in the fire! Frank is a dedicated, focused and hard working guy; just what this band need!

"We had a blast supporting our great friends in Kamelot. Our main goal now is to get done with our next album. And this is a task we're not taking lightly. We want to forge something really special for our next release."

Tellus Requiem Splits With Ben Rodgers

Tellus Requiem has checked in with the following announcement about parting ways with Ben Rodgers:

"Attention! We're sorry to inform you that the band has decided to end the co-operation with now former singer Ben Rodgers with immediate action. We've had some fun times on the road and share some great memories together! But due to personal reasons we now choose to go on further without him.

Floor Jansen Posts Message To Fans

Kamelot will make the band's final "Silverthorn" headliner tour of Europe this winter. Special guests ReVamp - featuring new Nightwish vocalist Floor Jansen - and Norway's Tellus Requiem will also appear on the tour.

Floor Jansen has now posted a video clip online teasing the upcoming tour, which can be viewed below. Dates for the trek are available after the jump.

Tellus Requiem Joining Kamelot Tour

Kamelot's European 2013 tour is now fully set with special guests ReVamp from Holland (featuring Floor Jannseen), while Norwegian metallers "Tellus Requiem" will open the show. Tellus Requiem's guitarist Stig comments:

"We're super-psyched for this tour together with Kamelot and Revamp. We could not think of any better bands to hook up with, and blow the rooph top off the venues all over Europe! In addition to this tour, Tellus Requiem can reveal that we will release a brand new, killer, never before released singel-track! Be sure to check the tour schedule, because you should not miss out on this one!"

Kamelot recently returned from a triumphant tour of Australia and Asia and will also be heading out for a month of shows in North America this September.

Kamelot's guitarist Thomas Youngblood adds, "The tour for this album has been so fun and the fans have been absolutely amazing. We are really proud of this lineup for Europe and we expect to make some historical nights with our amazing fans. We welcome our Norwegian brother to the tour!" More...

Tellus Requiem Unveils Album Art & Track Listing

Norwegian metal act Tellus Requiem unveiled the album artwork and track listing for the band's upcoming debut LP "Invictus (The 11th Hour)," which is due out via Nightmare Records on January 22, 2013. The band also launched its new official website designed using the cover art (seen below) created by Thomas Ewerhard (Symphony X/ TOTO/Avantasia/Therion/Hammerfall).

In addition, the band has confirmed that they will be playing a handful of acoustic dates in Turkey before the holidays. These special shows feature music rearranged from the band's self-titled debut and the new album Invictus (The 11th Hour) to fit acoustically and with a three man orchestra.

Guitarist Stig Nergård commented on the upcoming shows: "We are really looking forward to finally doing some live shows abroad. I could not think of a more perfect place to do some acoustic shows "TELLUS REQUIEM-style", than where the West meets the East."

Tellus Requiem Signs With Nightmare Records

Norway's Tellus Requiem has signed with Nightmare Records to release debut album "The 11th Hour." The album will be available on January 22nd, 2013. Nightmare Records also commented:

"These progressive up and comers are sure to blow minds with the music they have created. Tellus Requiem consists of five members who all came from diverse musical backgrounds, which can be recognized immediately by their distinct sound.
