Today Is The Day has been added to the lineup of the 2011 Roadburn Festival, which takes place from April 14th - 17th in Tilburg, Holland. The Roadburn Festival organizers issued the following statement:
"The Today is the Day catalog includes at least three masterpieces - Temple of the Morning Star, Today Is The Day, and Willpower - which run a dizzying gamut of musical styles from Slint-ish indie-rock to experimental soundscapes to kraut-metal, and do it all in a way that seems completely logical and consistent, even if it is infused with evil purpose and darkest intent. One of the most consistently challenging and interesting bands of our time and someone that we are truly overjoyed to welcome to the Roadburn lineup."
Additional details on the festival can be found at this location. Today Is The Day is also currently at work on its ninth studio album, which will see a 2011 release on Black Market Activities.

Bolt Thrower has released this bit of news regarding their first trip to the USA in 14 years:
"Due to the fact that we are not real festival lovers or great fans of flying, the chances of us ever coming to the States for a one-off show was always very small. But after years of relentless emails from Ryan we've finally given in. It's hard to believe that it's been 14 years since we last played in the US, so we are very happy to announce that we are finally coming back. Bolt Thrower will be playing Maryland Deathfest VII, on May 22-24, 2009, at Sonar, Baltimore, MD."
A few more bands were exected to be included in this announcement, but the organizers are still working on the details. Therefore, another announcement is expected with even more band confirmations in the near future, as they wrap up the booking process for Maryland Deathfest 2009

Rochester, NY-based tech grindcore/hardcore outfit PSYOPUS has issued the following update:
"We at the PSYOPUS camp feel like real dousche bags but, we are sorry to explain to you that we are going to have to drop off of our Canadian dates with TODAY IS THE DAY, FUCK THE FACTS and COMPLETE FAILURE. Here's the story:"
"Back in January, PSYOPUS was kept from crossing the border for our small January tour. The reason started with the fact Arpmandude (Christopher Arp, guitar) has an attempted criminal mischief in the fourh conviction from 2001, and a violation of probation in 2002 where he served a month in jail. This was a flag warning for a bitch of a bitch of a bitch immigration woman who decided that Arpmandude was a 'risk to Canada.'" More...
