To raise funds for the legal fees, Decapitated is also releasing a limited edition shirt. The band comments:

In Central Texas, the weekend that fell on Friday, February 12th through the 14th was filled with great shows featuring major European extreme metal bands, bands that rarely appear in North America. First, I caught Cradle of Filth (visit link) put on a spectacular show at the Aztec Theater in San Antonio. Two days later, the immortal At The Gates made it’s first ever appearance in Austin.
The forerunners of melodic death previously toured North America in 2008 with Darkest Hour and Municipal Waste. Then, they played San Antonio. Due to a publicist error, I couldn’t get into that show, so I partook in other debaucheries. I did, however, catch At The Gates tour twenty-years ago with Morbid Angel and Dissection as the opener. (Readers may have seen them on 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise or Maryland Death Fest).
I didn’t know anything about them. I was there to see Dissection (the only time I caught the band), but liked what I heard and shortly after became a fan of Gothenburg bands. Twenty years later and I can sing all the songs, pump my fest and bang my head with the rest of the packed club at the Mohawk’s punk/metal-friendly club. More...

Polish technical death metal band Decapitated will return to conquer North America once again this upcoming January. Just prior to being direct support to At The Gates on a U.S. tour, Decapitated will do a headlining run with support coming from Black Breath and Theories.
Founding guitarist Vogg comments: "We’re very excited to announce that we will be returning to North America in January and February as a part of the At The Gates tour, along with our first headline dates in over 3 years. As you probably know due to unexpected problems with U.S.C.I.S. we were forced to cancel our tour with Soulfly in October this year. We can’t wait to get back and play for our loyal fans all over North America and we hope to see you there! Nothing will stop us this time!!!"
Vocalist Rasta adds: "The beginning of 2016 is gonna be awesome. We are coming back to United States and Canada!!! As we all perfectly know, North America is one of the best place to play hard music. This continent was simply built on a Rock and Roll music, and I feel it every time we play there. Amazing crowds, constant headbanging and of course unforgettable shows. North America are you ready?! We are coming! See you there!" More...
The Swedish melodic death metal masters At The Gates just announced a string of U.S. tour dates to follow their appearance on the 2016 version of the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise.
Set to kick off on February 9, 2016 in Fort Lauderdale FL, this tour of tours will feature label mates The Haunted as well as Decapitated (direct support) and Harms Way. Tomas Lindberg from At The Gates comments:
"We are so excited to finally come back to the states for more shows. The last tour was such a great thing for us, and the line up for this one is equally awesome. We can't wait to get out there, reaching some of the places that missed out on the action last time! See you there!"
Marco Aro from The Haunted adds: "Finally!.....we are going to the US! We've been trying to get this tour together for quite some time now, and now it's official... Although currently signed to Nuclear Blast, the back catalog from Decapitated is owned by Earache Records, and a legal dispute between the band and label has caused the group's early material to be pulled from online streaming services.
The Polish death metal band comments:
"Decapitated advises that they have resolved to take long-overdue action to redress various legal, copyright and financial disputes with their former label Earache Records.
"In response, Earache has removed from streaming sites the band’s entire catalogue of music released by Earache.
"Although it is not their doing, Decapitated apologises to their fans for any disappointment and inconvenience and hopes that matters can be resolved as soon as possible. We will keep you informed as to developments and thank you sincerely for your continuing loyalty, support and goodwill."
Metal icons Soulfly will embark on a monumental North American headlining tour starting September 30th in Los Angeles, CA. The band will be supporting upcoming vicious new release "Archangel," which was produced by Matt Hyde and will be released on August 14th via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

“This is a great package and brutal lineup,” commented Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera. “I personally am a fan of all these bands and it’s an honor to have them touring with us! See you in the pit!” More...

The death metal masters from Suffocation and Decapitated are teaming up for a co-headlining showdown in Australia and New Zealand. Nuclear Blast Records comments:
"Without any argument, New York’s Suffocation are known for their style of fusing aspects of technical modern metal with the percussive, brutal attack of classic death metal which prove they proudly stand well above the myriads of metal bands in the world today.
"Since their inception way back in 1988, Suffocation have been terrorizing stages across the globe for 25+ years with a backlog of explosively brutal cuts such as Pierced From Within, As Grace Descends, Thrones Of Blood, Infecting The Crypts, Breeding The Spawn and Effigy Of The Forgotten that violently bludgeon your senses while making you bang your head to the uber-groove with technical and precise guitar wizardry melded together with a bone crushing rhythm section and savagely fierce vocal assault, the band proves with every show why they are as well respected as they are. Just listen to their latest album Pinnacle Of Bedlam and you will see what we mean."

Michigan psyche doom-death group, Acid Witch opened day two on Midway’s outdoor stage. After a night of barely any sleep, I didn’t arrive in time to catch their set. It’s a shame because they were one of the bands I wanted to see. I heard a burst of guitar notes from tech-death metallers Archspire but only as I pulled into the venue. The first part of this day would be spent around the press tent conducting interviews with Napalm Death and Gwar. This included missing most of the set from Polish death metal veterans Decapitated, whose late coming was the apparent reason for Midway being behind on time. The day before their appearance at Housecore the group had totaled their van. I’m not sure how they made it to Austin, but they were there and played a full set. More...
The organizers of the Blastfest have checked in with the following announcement about final band confirmations:
"The lineup announcements had to come to an end eventually and Blastfest has now revealed the final three bands for the main lineup. But that’s not to say what you see on the burgeoning Blastfest poster is all that’s happening. No, no, no, there will be more!
"There’s already a lineup that would bring tears to the eyes of even the toughest metalhead with bands such as Demilich, Satyricon, Decapitated, Paradise Lost, At The Gates & Moonsorrow... and just last week a cruise up the Norwegian fjords with live bands was announced as part of the first days festivities. We still have to hear more… the clinics, the stand up comedy, the exhibitions, and lots more have yet to be revealed!
"For now, let’s leave this here… Sweden’s Uppsala upstarts, the black metal powerhouse, the entity of its own who released possibly their best work to date just last year with ‘The Hunt’, yes, the mighty Watain have been announced as another Blastfest 2015 headliner. The festival has also welcomed Austria’s sickest death metal export Schrinec Plays Pungent Stench and Bergens blackened deaththrash horde Grimfist." More...
Decapitated singer Rafal "Rasta" Piotrowski talked to the MetalSucks podcast at Housecore Horror Film Festival this weekend, just one day after the band was involved in another van accident.
In 2007, Decapitated was in a tragic tour bus accident, claiming the life of drummer Witold “Vitek” Kieltyka and leaving vocalist Adrian “Covan” Kowanek with limb paralysis.
New vocalist Rafal stated: “I’m used to it because a couple of years ago, like three years ago, we had a [plane] landing without wheels. This band is professional at accidents. We try to make jokes about it.”
Decapitated has been on the road supporting the new album "Blood Mantra" (reviewed here) but the festivities were almost stopped due to a vehicle crash. The band comments:
"Decapitated was involved in a serious van accident on Friday afternoon on their way to a show in House of Blues, New Orleans, LA. We are all ok (two persons were hospitalized and released after a few hours) and we will continue our tour with American Sharks and GWAR. This time we were lucky."
