U.K. female-fronted band Neverstar has released a video for "Don’t Call," which can be viewed below.
The clip was produced by Manchester production company Video Ink and was filmed against the backdrop of Pendle Hill in Lancashire, home of the Pendle witches who were famously trialed for witchcraft in 1612. Neverstar comments:
"Don’t Call is an intensely dramatic song, telling a heartfelt story of family dysfunction, suicide and resentment. Female fronted band Neverstar’s new single "Don’t Call," which is scheduled for release on February 4th, is now available for streaming through the SoundCloud player below. The song is taken from debut album "I’ll Be Waiting." due out on the 8th of April.
"I’ll be Waiting" was produced by Neil Haynes (Nevaneva, Doctor Fonda and Dead Man’s Crossing) at The Parlour Studios (Napalm Death, Mortad and Evile) in Northampton UK. The "Don’t Call" single was written for vocalist Vega Sims’ father and tells a story of family dysfunction, suicide, and resentment. Originally it was not intended to become a song as Vega felt it was too close to home, but was recorded after guitarist and songwriter Pieter Cronje accidently stumbled upon the lyrics and secretly wrote the music. Neverstar, which recently premiered a music video for "Lose Control" through Metalunderground.com, has announced that new album "I'll Be Waiting" is due out this coming April 8th, 2013.

Rising new female-fronted U.K act Neverstar has teamed up with Metalunderground.com to premiere the new music video "Lose Control," which was filmed at London’s renowned East End film studios this September. The clip can be viewed below.
The video sees singer Vega Sims trapped and escaping a psychological prison, while her band mates contrast the scene with their live performance. It concludes with Neverstar getting caught in a rainstorm, symbolizing internal turmoil. An extended version of “Lose Control” will be included with the band’s debut album, which will be released during 2013.
Neverstar will also be playing live dates in the U.K. during November and will continue to tour after the debut album comes out next year. For updated info, head over to the band's official website here.
“Lose Control” was released as a digital single last month and is currently playing on stations such as TotalRock Radio, while the group was recently selected as band of the month on femalemetal.com.
Singer Vega Sims commented, “Creating this video has been an immense experience and amazing learning curve. Originally we didn’t plan on releasing a video for this song, but it somehow made sense to take the idea behind the lyrics and bring them to life. Taking the concept to the screen enabled us to refine the band, and demonstrate our passion for the songs in a whole new way. We loved the process so much that we ended up being completely involved." U.K. act Neverstar has posted a new single online titled "Lose Control," which consists of the tracks "Lose Control" and "Forgotten." You can listen to the new songs in the SoundCloud player below.
The band is also offering a free download of the single to anyone who signs up for the Neverstar newsletter here prior to October 20th (the free download will be sent out on the 21st).
U.K. based symphonic act Neverstar will release the new single "Lose Control" on October 22nd. The single will consist of two songs, which marks an evolution in the band’s musical direction.
Front women Vega Sims commented, “Our new material offers some serious punch mixed with my opinionated and emotional lyrics. It all just feels more authentic and true to who we are and where we come from.“
