This history making tour features 26 shows in 31 days; bringing 22 of todays heaviest and most hard core underground musical performers to the forefront. This fan friendly event is keeping ticket prices very low, under $30.00 per ticket in most markets. We’re taking submissions since we know there is a bunch of High on Fire stuff out there. So if anyone has any good video of us playing live (from any show/tour) and would be so kind as to make a copy and send it to us at the address below (with your name and contact e-mail and phone number), it would be appreciated. We can’t guarantee submissions will be used but if yours is we’ll get you a free copy of the DVD and some other cool High on Fire stuff that you’ve never seen (or will see) anywhere else.

On Saturday, April 9, 2005, the Dutch Roadburn Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary edition with a stunning variety of space/stoner/doom rock bands on three different stages with Brant Bjork & The Bros, SUNN O))), ELECTRIC WIZARD (the first ever show with the We Live line-up), and HIGH ON FIRE, amongst others, at 013-Tilburg.
Monster Magnet lead guitarist Ed Mundell has been confirmed to jam live on stage with headliners SPACE RITUAL. That band was formed in 2001 to revive the lost magic, the truly interstellar spirit of Hawkwind, of which the band were all members, and this will be Space Ritual`s first ever gig on the European mainland. Check roadburn.com for the complete line up. Holland’s major network, VPRO 3voor12, will pull off a live webcast of the 10th Roadburn Festival.
In other news, VPRO 3voor12 will re-broadcast last year`s "Monster Magnet Live at the 9th Roadburn Festival" webtv webcast. The webcast will run on April 6, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. GMT at www.3voor12.nl (click on webtv).

A cadre of hard rock acts led by Opeth, Unearth, Poison The Well and Clutch are uniting for the inaugural Sounds of the Underground summer festival tour. The bill will hit the road in North America in late June and run through late July.
With organizers promising the addition of a notable headlining act, others already confirmed for the full tour are From Autumn To Ashes, Chimaira, Norma Jean, Every Time I Die, Strapping Young Lad, Throwdown, High On Fire, DevilDriver, All That Remains, A Life Once Lost and veteran horrorcore group Gwar, which will present a "halftime show."
Madball has been drafted for the eastern half of the tour, with Terror picking up on Western dates. Regional additions include the Red Chord (East Coast), Fear Before The March Of Flames (Midwest, Southeast) and Himsa (West).
"This tour will show the masses that real music is alive and well," Unearth's Trevor Phipps says. "The Sounds of the Underground will prove that you don't need 'pop-culture' to embrace your sound and way of life."
The tour is being produced by Face the Music Touring agent Tim Borror, Ferret label executive/artist manager Paul Conroy, Ferret label owner Carl Severson and artist manager Larry Mazer. The group has pledged to keep ticket prices below $30.
Dates for the trek have not yet been announced. The Sounds of the Underground Tour website will launch soon with full details.

The band will also be a part of No Boogie, Only Hate European Tour `05 featuring collaborations with Atilla Csihar, John Weise (Bastard Noise/Sissy Spacek), and others.

High On Fire have completed work on the first music video for their new album, "Blessed Black Wings." The video is for the track "Devilution" and was filmed in San Francisco, CA with director Gary Smithson (Tomahawk, Goatwhore). Stills from the video shoot can be viewed here.
Relapse Records recording artists HIGH ON FIRE have announced their first headlining tour of 2005 in support of their forthcoming new album, Blessed Black Wings. HIGH ON FIRE will kick off a three week trek beginning February 4th at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles, CA. The tour is expected to conclude on February 24th in Salt Lake City, UT with additional dates pending.
Support on the DECIBEL Magazine sponsored HIGH ON FIRE tour will be provided by PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS and KYLESA. Immediately following, HIGH ON FIRE (drummer Des Kensel, guitarist / vocalist Matt Pike and bassist Joe Preston [ex-MELVINS]) will make a high profile appearance as part of the 2005 Noise Pop Festival in San Francisco, where the band will perform alongside acts such as THE POLYPHONIC SPREE, AMON TOBIN and THE FUCKING CHAMPS.
HIGH ON FIRE's Blessed Black Wings is set for a February 1st U.S. release date via Relapse and a February 7th European release date via Relapse. The follow up to the band's critically acclaimed Surrounded By Thieves was recorded at Chicago's Electrical Audio Studios with engineer Steve Albini (NIRVANA, NEUROSIS, JESUS LIZARD). The final track listing for Blessed Black Wings is "Devilution", "The Face of Oblivion", "Brother In The Wind", "Cometh Down Hessian", "Blessed Black Wings", "Anointing of Seer", "To Cross the Bridge", "Silver Back" and "Sons Of Thunder".

HIGH ON FIRE have announced Fall, 2004 U.S. tour dates. The critically acclaimed power trio kick off six weeks worth of performances beginning November 18th in Salt Lake City, UT, and concluding on New Year's Eve at Philadelphia's Trocadero Theater. HIGH ON FIRE (drummer Des Kensel, guitarist / vocalist Matt Pike and new bassist Joe Preston [ex-MELVINS]) who just completed work on their highly anticipated new album, 'Blessed Black Wings' with engineer Steve Albini (NIRVANA, NEUROSIS, JESUS LIZARD), will hit the road for a number of headlining dates before joining CLUTCH and FU MANCHU for a three-week span. Immediately following, HIGH ON FIRE will headline two weeks worth of dates to round out the year.
