But then I thought, fuck it, here's a super complicated story with a million characters and it's off the wall crazy and shit. Wanna do it?”
“This has definitely been the most challenging and the most rewarding project in the history of Hey Beautiful Jerk," adds the team of Mark Szumski and Gina Niespodziani. "Creatively, we did not make many concessions and we really pushed ourselves to see how far we could take this thing. It worked.” More...

Black Tusk was set to embark on a European trek alongside High On Fire starting in early November, but the band has now officially pulled out. Black Tusk comments via Facebook:
"We are sorry to have pull out on the High On Fire European tour. There were various factors why we came to this decision to cancel. We tried all sorts of new ideas and ways to make the tour work, but in the end we couldn't do it.
"We were really hoping for the new album to be out by this tour as well, but we couldn't get it out in time. With all this being said, we are once again sorry and hope to see you guys when we start touring next year and everything is in order and ready to go.
"We are going to take the rest of this year to get the new record ready for touring and start writing new music with Corey. See ya next year!"
Following a brief European stint this summer, Georgia’s Black Tusk will again cross the pond this November to demolish 12 countries in Western & Eastern Europe and Scandinavia alongside stoner metal brethren and Relapse alumni High On Fire.
North Carolina psychedelic hard rockers Bask will be accompanying the two metallic giants on the trek, which kicks off in Poland on November 3rd.

In the spirit of Athon, the band has persevered - Black Tusk has continued touring relentlessly, and the band’s final album with Athon will be released next year via Relapse Records. More...

The first annual Motörhead Motörboat - featuring Megadeth, Motörhead, and Anthrax -will sail from Miami, visiting the ports of Key West, Florida and Cozumel just off Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula for the September 22nd - 26th, 2014 cruise on the Carnival Ecstasy.
The fest will also include Testament, Down, High On Fire, plus Kill Devil Hill, Zakk Wylde, Jim Breuer Band, Danko Jones, Fireball Ministry, and Wilson. While onboard, guests will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with band members and will see unforgettable performances on various stages throughout the ship.
A limited number of cabins are still available for Motörhead’s Motörboat at this location.
Additional onboard performances and activities have been announced for Motörhead’s Motörboat, including a spoken word performance by heavy metal musician, author, and television personality Scott Ian.
Scott’s spoken word performances in support of his upcoming "Swearing Words In Glasgow" CD (out November 13th via Megaforce Records) are an honest look at the insane life that he has led for the last 31 years, the people he’s met, and the events that coincide. After decades-worth of international touring with Anthrax, bumping elbows with illustrious (and sometimes ridiculous) characters all over the media spectrum, and undergoing general “you won’t believe this” experiences, Scott certainly has some hilarious and surprisingly personal stories to share.
Those onboard Motörhead’s Motörboat will also be treated to a screening of the 2010 documentary film "Lemmy," directed by Greg Olliver and Wes Orshoski. In addition, theme nights for Motörhead’s Motörboat are as follows:
Monday, September 22 -- Löud and Hometown Pröud
Motörhead’s Motörboat will have a very diverse and international crowd. Guests are encouraged to be proud of where they come from. Wear a state jersey, don your Nordic horns, paint your face and show your city/state/country pride. More...
