Williamsport, PA metallers My Heart To Fear are pleased to unveil their new track, “Bottomed Out,” which is streaming now via Revolver or in the player below. The song comes off "Algorithm," the band’s debut full-length due out July 9th on Solid State Records.
“This was one of the easiest songs on the album to both write and record,” vocalist Trevor Pool told Revolver. “The song was written on my basement floor for eight hours straight. We used Tabit (a computer program that lets us tab out our music and hear what it sounds like) for some preproduction so that I had a song reference to help me write vocals. I wrote the song from beginning to end.”
The 11 track album was recorded at Atrium Audio with Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red) and features a guest appearance by Ricky Armellino of This Or The Apocalypse. More...
Williamsport, PA's My Heart To Fear recently announced that new full-length, "Algorithm," will drop July 9th via Solid State Records. Now the band is sharing a first taste of the album with the world in the form of a lyric video for “The Witching Hour Pt. II.” Check it out below. Pre-orders for the new album are also available here.
“'The Witching Hour Pt. II' carries on in the vein of an older song, 'The Witching Hour,’” explains vocalist Trevor Pool. “The song was purposefully written as a sequel because we felt the original song was too metaphorical and could be difficult to grasp. With 'Pt. II' there is a plainly told story about the study and experimentation of the theological duality between demons/the Devil and angels/God."
The 11 track album was recorded at Atrium Audio with Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland and features notable guest appearances such as Ricky Armellino of This or the Apocalypse.
“On Algorithm, the breakdowns are catchier, the vocals are better and are beyond appropriate for the music,” explains Pool. “No single part, instrument or effect is overused. There’s no filler. Everything is exactly where it needs to be. Nowhere was there something added just for the sake of adding something. Most importantly, we made the decision to write what we felt needed to be in the songs - nothing was written under the shadow of ‘what will please the most amount of ears.’” More...

Hailing from Williamsport, PA, My Heart To Fear comes from an area of Pennsylvania known for giving starts to acts such as August Burns Red, Texas In July, and This Or The Apocalypse. After releasing several EPs independently, My Heart To Fear caught the attention of Solid State Records.
“We want our fans to walk away from this EP asking what they can do to make this world a better place,” vocalist Trevor Pool says. “Whether that means showing love to those neglected by society or just doing a self-inventory of a sort. We are all a part of a problem or solution and it is imperative that we discover which side we find ourselves on.” More...

Solid State Records is excited to announce the latest addition to its roster of artists: Pennsylvania metallers My Heart To Fear, which is wasting no time in announcing the November 20th release of debut EP, "Lost Between Brilliance and Insanity." Solid State Records commented:
"The EP follows up several DIY releases that showcased the band’s penchant for technical riffs, swaggering vocals and sky-high choruses, elements that helped them build the fervent fanbase that supports them today.
"The Williamsport, PA-based act hails from the same geographic region and musical circles that spawned a number of metalcore successes in recent years - most notably genre giants August Burns Red, in addition to the likes of Texas In July (Equal Vision) and This Or The Apocalypse (eOne Entertainment). While a less confident band may look to steal a page or two out of those artists’ playbooks, My Heart To Fear are intent on forging their own sound."
“When we write music we don't stick to any one formula,” explains vocalist Trevor Pool. “We don't write to please a certain group of people or to fit into specific genres. Nor do we sit down with a preconceived idea of what a song should or should not sound like. Instead we allow the music itself to reveal subconscious and spiritual paths. Rather than deriving inspiration solely from music, we find influence in the world around us and aim to transpose these non-musical entities into the musical aspects of a song.”
“Signing with Solid State is a huge step for us,” says Pool. “It is almost surreal to look back at all of the literal blood, sweat, and tears of our journey and to wonder what we would have thought at each phase if we could have seen, just for a moment, where we are now. We love the family-centered mentality of the Solid State staff and artists and hope to strengthen the family in whatever way possible!”
“We want to encourage everyone to not just shoot for their dreams, but to fight relentlessly for them,” Pool goes on to say. “We could not have made it this far in our journey without the endless support of those around us.”
