Last week, atmospheric deathcore brigade Lord Of War unleashed the audio lashings of latest full-length album "Suffer" via Unique Leader Records. A lyric video for the title track is now online and can be seen elow.
"Suffer" was engineered and mixed by Daniel Castleman and Kelly Cairns (Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Carnifex, Winds Of Plague, Molotov Solution) and mastered by Miah Lajeunesse (Whitechapel, Aegaeon).
Vanna just released a video clip discussing the importance of first-week album sales to bands, which can be seen below. The group comments:
"First week sales. You may have heard bands talk about first week album sales, and you might already be aware that they are an important figure whenever a new album is released. But do you know why? Davey drops in from Warped Tour to explain how first week album sales impact a band's career, and discusses buying records vs streaming sites. Other bands on Warped weigh in as well!"
Lord Of War also chimed in: "Davey from Vanna really nails it on the head about first week album sales. If you've ever wondered why bands push so hard for first week sales, this video explains it perfectly. It's very important and our first week sales will determine what we will be doing for the rest of the year. July 8th was our starting day and we have until the 15th."
The members of atmospheric deathcore legion Lord Of War today drop the audio punishment of their brand new full-length via Unique Leader Records.
Fittingly titled "Suffer," the record was engineered and mixed by Daniel Castleman and Kelly Cairns (Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Carnifex, Winds Of Plague, Molotov Solution) and mastered by Miah Lajeunesse (Whitechapel, Aegaeon). Check out a full stream bleow.
Elaborates guitarist/vocalist Alexx Walshaw of the record: "With 'Suffer,' we wanted to make music that we loved hearing from our past influences, that sadly, wasn't being played much anymore. It seemed as though a lot of bands just weren't playing raw, heavy music anymore. Certainly nothing that was memorable or catchy enough to take home from watching bands at shows.
"We said, 'fuck that,' and set out to get back to making heavy music that was also catchy, while leaving room for the more modern stuff. Our goal was to make something that, no matter who you were, where you came from, or what you liked, we had something for you. I think we did pretty well in achieving that and hopefully everyone will find something that they enjoy about Suffer. Thank you so much for everyone who has been on this journey with us. It means the world to us and we can't wait to share this with you all!" More...
