Acelsia Issues Recording Update

Norway's Acelsia recently entered the studio to being recording a new album, and vocalist Malene Markussen comments:

“We’ve recorded the album pretty fast, hoping to keep things as spontaneous as possible, by trying lots out on the fly and concentrating on getting the right feel ahead of doing things too perfectly.” Malene continues, “The songs shine even more now and the album will definitely be as uplifting and emotional as we envisioned.”

A new single titled "The Mender" is due to be released this coming November, with the finished album coming out in early 2013, and further details are expected to be coming in the near future.

Acelsia Enters The Studio

With three shorter releases under its belt, Acelsia has recently returned to the studio to record a full-length debut.

According to a press release, the as-of-yet untitled album will "give fans of melodic hard rock a sound that is original and full of emotion and contrast. The song writing draws on a broad range of influences and the lyrics feature personal thoughts on life and much more." The band also commented on the upcoming album:

"Vocalist Malene Markussen leads Acelsia and is joined by the guitar of Odd Henning, sometimes sweet, sometimes heavy. Both have already established their credentials as songwriters. Drums are already laid down (by guest Bjorn Tore Erlendsen of Aspherium) and it’s vocals next - all building towards a release at the start of 2013. In the meantime Acelsia will also release a single, most likely before the end of 2012. It’s going to be a busy time and the band promise to keep everyone updated!"
