OMNIUM GATHERUM comments the new album "to be really the best album yet that the band have delivered and a big thanks from that goes also to our new vocalist Jukka Pelkonen. But everything in this album from songs to coverartwork is at least 10 times better than on previous releases, of course! Music and the band itself have really evolved. It´s always the same phrase when speaking about the new album of the band, but this time it´s really true, heh."

Finnish death metallers OMNIUM GATHERUM have uploaded two new tracks to their MySpace profile. The songs — "A-part of God" and "Undertaker" — are taken from the group's latest promotional recording, which the band are currently using to procure a new record deal. The demo marks the first material recorded with brand new OMNIUM GATHERUM vocalist Jukka Pelkonen, who joined the group last month.
Jukka will make his live debut with OMNIUM GATHERUM on July 11 at the Tuska Open Air metal festival after-party at Gloria in Helsinki, Finland.
OMNIUM GATHERUM parted ways with Nuclear Blast Records last year. The band's latest album, "Years in Waste", was released in the U.S. in March 2005. Finnish melodic death metallers OMNIUM GATHERUM have announced the addition of singer Jukka Pelkonen (a.k.a. "J") from the band called ELENIUM as their new frontman. "Jukka and other ELENIUM dudes have been our dear friends for a really long time, so it seemed very natural choice for us to ask Jukka for his services — in fact he was the ONLY one we ever thought and aske," the band write in a statement. "The rehearsals with Jukka have gone really well and in good spirit, and he has brought much-needed new life to the band with his aggressive growling vocal style and new ideas. We hope that all of you give Jukka a fair chance to show his skills and talents and then draw your conclusions. At least we, the OG crew, are amazed about this and have again strong faith to OG's future and new stuff. We are not trying to fill [former singer] Antti's [Filppu] shoes cause it's not possible. Jukka will do his own stuff and write his own lyrics, he has our full backing and support. The writing and demoing of the new material is going on and the new stuff will be...... HHEAVY!"
Jukka will make his live debut with OMNIUM GATHERUM on July 11 at the Tuska Open Air Metal Festival after-party at Gloria in Helsinki, Finland.

Former OMNIUM GATHERUM vocalist Antti Filppu has sent the following statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET regarding his departure from the group
"Nothing dramatic, just wanted to correct an error concerning my departure from OMNIUM GATHERUM. I did not leave the band. They wanted to continue without me, and there were no negotiations about it. Nobody asked me, they simply told me I'm out. Even though this is perfectly fine, I saw no crisis with the OMNIUM GATHERUM future like the other members saw, I would have been very glad to be a part of it."
OMNIUM GATHERUM are currently writing and demoing material for their new album, tentatively due late 2006/early 2007 via an as-yet-undetermined label. The band, who were previously signed to Nuclear Blast Records, recorded a five-song pre-production demo at Woodbine Garden studio in Pyhtää, Finland in January containing the tracks "City Red Light", "Remember The Frozen", "Neither Dead Nor Alive", "My Hands Were Tied" and "Das Wegrecht".
