Maegi Posts Studio Update On New Album

Maegi, the power/progressive side project of Dreamtone vocalist Oganalp Canatan, released a video studio update on the upcoming sophomore release "Tales From the King's Court." The video contains a demo version of the new track "The King Who Sold His Men."

In the video Canatan explains that the band will start rehearsing and recording the album at the end of this month and a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign will be launched to help with the production costs and the album is targeted for a 2015 release. Details on the release are expected soon.

Maegi Posts Work In Progress Demo "Skies Fall"

Maegi, the power/progressive side project of Dreamtone vocalist Oganalp Canatan featuring Hansi K├╝rsch (Blind Guardian), Chris Boltendahl (Grave Digger), Ripper Owens (Yngwie Malsmsteen), Zak Stevens (Circle II Circle) and Jerry Outlaw (Jon Oliva's Pain), posted a "work in progress" clip of the new song and title track "Skies Fall." The clip features Boltendahl and Canatan on vocals. According to Canatan the clip is "not the final sound of the album but a mere WIP 'from the studio' excerpt to show you what is going on..."

Maegi Reveals New Album Details

Maegi, the power-prog metal project of Oganalp Canatan (Dreamtone), has now revealed the cover artwork for upcoming new album "Skies Fall," which can be viewed below. The album is set for release in late 2012/early 2013. The tentative track listing (excluding the interlude songs) is as follows:
