The mid-nineties saw Mortician getting heavy airplay for their "House By the Cemetery" EP, so by the time their classic full-length "Hacked Up for Barbecue" was released, there was keen interest in them coming and doing a live gig in Vegas. These Yonkers, NY natives had a reputation as brutal as the Son of Sam infested streets they were from and certainly were about to live up to it with the twisted free for all that was about to follow.
This would be the first ever tour for this two-piece combo of Will Rahmer and Roger Beaujard and whoever would sit in as their session drummer. (They had never bothered recruiting anyone new after their original drummer Matt lost his battle with demonizing luxuries) They figured they could get a gig lined up in our city, but someone had forgotten to tell them that the roof had collapsed on the main concert venue. Most bands would have been deterred, but not Mortician. They had just gotten on the road to tour, hooking up with fans in different cities and improvising where to play. Nothing was stopping them, and they even had t-shirts printed up with all the "tour dates" and cities on them.More...

No specific release date was set, but the band did state that it should be out some time in the summer of 2008.
Mortician also said that the previously announced split CD with polish grindcore band Dead Infection would be delayed due to Dead Infection's contractual obligation to provide a new album for their label.

MORTICIAN vocalist/bassist Will Rahmer has issued a lengthy bulletin via his MySpace.com account regarding an incident in Poland where he was arrested by the police after allegedly threatening a taxi driver with a knife and stealing a taxi cab following the group's performance in the city of Zielona Gora on Nov. 13, 2005. His statement reads as follows:
"OK, here's the story... I'm only going to write this once so do not ask me any more about it. Those of you who I know personally, I will give you the full story when I see you....
"I feel it's time to let all my friends know a little about what happened over in Poland...
"First off, I was sick before I even went on tour, and [on] the plane ride over, I started feeling worse. Then the ferry ride to England I got sick on. Then being on the bus with around 20 people didn't help me get any sleep — lots of partying, etc. going on, but I didn't do too much of that — mainly just drank a little and watched movies... There were no days off to get any rest and I was getting sicker everyday with no medicine until 12 days into the tour. Upon getting to Poland, I was in the worst condition yet, and my throat was really fucked up, so I didn't want to continue playing... There was some other bullshit going on, among other things, with some certain two-faced pieces of shit involved with the tour, so to make a long story short I decided to leave and go home because otherwise I was going to check into a hospital. Either way, I would have had to cancel shows and to avoid all the hassle I thought it was best to get back home...
"Now, I had a situation with a taxi driver over there, which I'm not going to get into on here. My close brothers and sisters that I love and trust with my life are getting the real story, but let's just say that i was faced with a life-or-death situation, and I had to react the only way I can. According to an article in the Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza, MORTICIAN vocalist/bassist Will Rahmer was arrested by the Polish police after threatening a taxi driver with a knife and stealing a taxi cab following the group's performance in the Polish city of Zielona Gora on Sunday (Nov. 13).
Rahmer reportedly called a cab after MORTICIAN's concert in Zielona Gora (which the other MORTICIAN members performed without Rahmer) and requested to be taken to the Berlin airport so that he could fly back to the United States. He allegedly went berserk in the car and threatened to stab the driver of the cab with a small knife. The taxi driver escaped and called the police. In the meantime, Will stole the car and drove himself to the Polish/German border crossing in Swiecko where he was subsequently picked up by the authorities.
According to the report, Rahmer was placed under arrest and is being held on several charges which carry a maximum penalty of 3 to 15 years.

Due to circumstances beyond their control, Arizona-based melodic death metallers Vehemence were unable to play their previously announced Toronto show at Club Rockit on Wednesday, October 27. "Big disappointment for us, as this is our second Toronto show we were unable to play," the band said in a statement. "Last time our vocalist Nathan got really sick on tour and we had to cancel our remaining dates. This time is more about the politics, lack of extra fee notice, and how fucking hard Canada makes it to get into their country to just play a show. We are extremely sorry to any fans we might have let down. 'Till next time. We will tour in Canada in due time. This is by far the best tour we have been on. Cheers to all in Mortician, Akercocke, and all the opening acts that we performed with."
Vehemence are touring in support of their third studio album, "Helping The World To See", available now through Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to 2002's "God Was Created" was produced by Will Solares and Vehemence at Open Primary Productions/DBD Studios in Maricopa, Arizona. Mixing duties were handled by Will Solares. Vehemence have issued this band update:
The mini tour we just headlined went extremely well and we thank all the extremely talented bands that we played with for their support. The tour proved to us that we can now do our own headlining tours really at anytime. We now urge bands to contact our booking agency if they think they are suitable for touring or setting up various shows with Vehemence. Playing Mexico was a blast and wasn't really a culture shock, it was more like Hollywood meets Las Vegas in a way. The metal heads are hungry for extreme metal and it was our pleasure to perform for the audience. We will be back in Mexico soon, and thanks to the crew that took us down there. The Houston off date Ozzfest show with Superjoint Ritual went very well, around 600 people attended and Vehemence ended up earning the respect from all the bands on the bill and from comments we have heard backstage. Look forward to our tour with Crematorium, All Shall Perish, and Animosity in September on the west coast. Also look forward to seeing us on month full U.S. tours with Mortician, Akercocke in Sept/Oct and Vital Remains in Oct/Nov. Please check our tours and shows page for more updates! The Thoughts From Which I Hide has officially sold out, so we will not be taking any more orders for it. We urge you to download the album from wherever possible, we have mp3's featured on our website. Thanks to all those that purchased this album from when it was released till its extinction and we might be re-releasing it in the near future.
