Aeurtum is currently working on the follow-up to "The Depths Of Which These Roots Do Bind" (streaming below), with the band issuing this update to fans:
"...and so this year draws to a close. It has been extremely quiet in the Aeurtum camp for the past 12 months, as I have mentioned previously in posts before. However, I can now safely say work is beginning to take place for record number 3.

"Well, the name of the next EP has been settled. 'The Depths of Which These Roots do Bind' is well underway, with 4 of the 6 songs coming along at a relatively good pace. The track listing as it currently stands is:

"Artwork concepts are being drawn up and toyed with and everything is going down a much darker road, spiraling ever downward into an ebony and crimson leaved spiral of self pity, moaning and disgust in the most grandest of ways I can muster.
"This EP is heralding a much more doom/american black metal vibe than previously, which 'The Fall' merely hinted at with the two stand out tracks 'Dissolved...' and 'Uttered,' so in the hope of not sounding too cliché, 'expect the unexpected' and 'Keep watching the skies folks'... or something like that..." Aeurtum has issued the following announcement about beginning work on a new EP and follow-up to debut album "The Fall:"
"Within the next few weeks, the gears of the next Aeurtum release will begin to grind into action. A 6 track EP shall be in store for next year some time.
"The concept is sewn and the lyrics are beginning to grow, and it's going to be more progressive, much more personal, and a lot darker... More to come."

Birmingham project Aeurtum is set to release debut full-length "The Fall" on July 27th, 2012. The album will feature 9 tracks, and according to a press release is a "first person journey following the emotional breakdown and 'search for the meaning of life' the protagonist goes through."
