Fuck The Facts Streaming New Album
The grindcore smorgasbord of Fuck The Facts have a new album "Pleine Noirceur" coming November 20th and before it officially drops, the band is premiering its full stream via Decibel Magazine here. It can also be heard below.
Experimental and unapologetic, and one of the longest-running bands in the Canadian extreme music scene, they have been destroying stages around the world, from big festivals to dingy basements, since the early 00s.
The first release since 2015, "Pleine Noirceur" dives deep into harsh melodies, different layers, and a variety of different arrangement ideas where each of the members can flaunt their creativity and contribute wholly to the production. Fuck The Facts comment on the album:
"This album is meant to flow as a single piece. With 'Desire Will Rot' we feel like we regained some of the dynamics that we lost on 'Die Miserable,' and on 'Pleine Noirceur' we’ve gone full-on with even more peaks and valleys than I think any record we’ve done in the past. I know it’s not really the trend, but the focus is more on the album than the individual songs themselves." More...
Fuck The Facts Releases Fifth New Single
"Pleine Noirceur" is the upcoming album from Canadian grindcore champions Fuck The Facts. Set for release on November 20th via their very own label Noise Salvation, the full length follows their 2015 Juno nominated "Desire Will Rot". "Pleine Noirceur" continues right where the band left off, offering up another slab of their patented “bastardized” grindcore full of all the twists and turns that fans have come to expect.
Leading up to the record's deliverance, the trio has previewed songs "Ailleurs", "Dropping Like Flies", "Everything I Love Is Ending" and the album's title track. Today, just days away from "Pleine Noirceur" discharging to headphones and speakers around the globe, the band is sharing their latest single "An Ending", the second last closer on the album.
Guitarist Topon Das adds:
"This song deviates from the more grindcore and head-bashing tunes on the record to show more of our melodic side. Not referenced as often, but the early days of bands like Paradise Lost, Katatonia, Enchantment & Cemetary definitely had a strong influence on my writing as well. There's a dark and depressing feel to the song that really embodies the theme of the whole album."
Listen to "An Ending" via its premiere on No Clean Singing or check it out below. More...

The considerable amount of time the band has been working together shows in the natural chemistry that courses through each of the 12 tracks. Fuck The Facts comments on the album:
"We took a long break before working on this album, I feel like it’s a collection of bits and pieces; old and new, short and long. It’s us working back into the groove, just in time for a pandemic. This album also could have easily been 3 EPs, you really have to listen to the whole thing in order to fully enjoy it. It opens the door for what is next." More...

Pit Stories: 24h McDicks
Tuesday means its time for some new Pit Stories, and this week's entry comes from Canadian grind outfit Fuck The Facts.
In typical rebellious grindcore fashion, Fuck The Facts didn't bother with a story that actually takes place in the pit and instead told us about having waaaaaaaay too much fast food. Bassist Marc Bourgon had this tale to tell:
Years ago, I'm guessing around 2010 or so, we were out west on tour with The Black Dahlia Murder and made a stop in jolly old Regina for a show at the Exchange. The show was rad but it was looking grim as far as a place to stay was concerned so I got tasked with "cold calling" random people at the show to see if they would be cool with having us crash at their place. Usually someone will offer but tonight we were tossin' gutters.
We eventually found somewhere (after a reluctant girlfriend was convinced) and made our way to the dudes apartment.
In our band, we have "sober nights." This is a rotating schedule that determines who has to drive after the show/concert/bar mitzvah. I know for sure it wasn't Johnny or my night to drive because we were plastered. The wagon made a stop at a 24h McDicks for a quick snack and that's when Jibay and I got the brilliant idea of ordering 25 Mcdoubles. Ho-lee-fuck. Within a few minutes of placing the order every fucking beeper and alarm was going off behind the counter as the staff scrambled to fulfill this insane request.
When we got to the dudes house we saw that he made a stop at Burger King and picked up 20 Junior Whoppers. We barely ate any of them. It was awesome. Needless to say, we don't see much crazy road antics.
Fuck The Facts will release new album "Desire Will Rot" on August 25. You can also catch the band live on the upcoming tour dates listed below, where you should probably buy them a bunch of McDonalds or Burger King. More...
