Beyond The Embrace recently entered their project studio, Drowning Sun Recordings, in Massachusetts to finish the songwriting process for their next Metal Blade Records release. The group expects to begin tracking the effort late this spring.
On Wednesday, September 14th I went to BBkings in New York City, NY to see Therion and Beyond the Embrace. As I walked into the venue as doors opened, I saw about six people standing around waiting for the concert to start. I met up with a friend and chilled until it started. What was scary was how we were the only people there until about 15 minutes before Beyond the Embrace took the stage. About 30 people showed up in those 15 minutes. I was scared that Therion drastically undersold the show. I was very wrong. By the time Beyond the Embrace finished the venue was packed. I didn’t even notice how many people were pouring in, since I was front row out of the three rows of people there. By the time Therion was playing I couldn’t move. Before Beyond the Embrace took the stage, I thought I saw Brian Fair from Shadows Fall hanging out at the bar, but wasn’t sure, so I went up to him and said, “Hey, what’s up”. Turns out it was him and he was cool. We had a short conversation because the concert started and it would be nearly impossible to hear each other. More...
Massachusetts’ BEYOND THE EMBRACE have posted the following road report at their official website:
"Well this tour has been great but hard. It seems that when we left Massachusetts in February a cloud has been following us supplying us with freezing cold and snow straight across the country. We had a break in Texas but it's back. But as always we can deal. In some unfortunate news Shawn has had a death in the family so he had to fly home and we were forced to drop off a few shows: Myrtle Beach and Spartanburg and the Augusta, GA show was cancelled.
So, we apologize to anyone who was heading to those shows for us. Green Carnation however will still be performing so check them out. We'd like to thank Green Carnation for being some of the coolest people we've ever toured with. They're an amazing live band and outstanding guys. We will be performing at the last two shows of the tour: The Sidebar in Maryland, and Jaxx in Springfield, Virginia." More...

On Sunday March 20th I went to BBkings to interview Into Eternity and take photos at the show. Check out the photos here
As I walked into BB kings on March 20th 2005, I wasn’t prepared for the night of madness ahead of me. I see an almost empty room of fans sitting and talking while they wait for the opening act. I was at the front of the line for this show, but the line was short. By the time the first band started playing I looked around to notice if anyone else had come in, they had, but they didn’t feel like standing up front. I felt like I was at a small local club for my friend’s band. Also without a barrier the experience became more intimate. More...
Currently on tour with Amorphis in support of their 2004 release Buried In Oblivion, Canada’s INTO ETERNITY have been added to Stratovarius’ fall tour package. Vocalist/lead guitarist Tim Roth commented, “We are really excited to be touring with Stratovarius and see this as an ideal package. We will be playing in front of a completely new audience, one for which we haven’t had the opportunity to play. All of us have been Stratovarius fans for years. We are fans of Tolkki’s guitar playing, Kotipelto’s voice, and also of Jens Johansson (keyboards) ever since he played with Yngwie Malmsteen. We met Kotipelto at ProgPower USA V last year and we begged him to take Into Eternity on tour, and now it’s a reality.”
After the Amorphis dates, INTO ETERNITY will play headlining shows across the Midwest and Canada. The complete list of Into Eternity's tour dates follow: More...

The Finnish long time metal outfit Amorphis have finally found a new vocalist to replace Pasi Koskinen. The new vocalist found from the band's friends, from a local band NeverGreen, is called Tomi Joutsen who has been hired to handle all the vocal duties. Joutsen's debut gig was witnessed at the benefit gig arranged to help the victims of tsunami. According to the interview of Tomi Joutsen given to Iltalehti he unveiled to be digging the melancholic music from where Amorphis ladles all the inspiration and willing to do some growling vocals in the future.
