SPV/Steamhammer are continuing their vinyl releases in North America with the impending releases of Axel Rudi Pell's "The Crest" on August 10th and Sodom's "Better Off Dead" on September 14th.

AXEL RUDI PELL is preparing to release their branch new album, "The Crest." The album will be coming out on April 23rd in Germany and April 26th in the rest of Europe.

AXEL RUDI PELL will be touring with Freedom Call starting May 3, 2010.
German guitarist AXEL RUDI PELL has issued the following update:
"Just would like to let you know that we will enter the studio on April 20th to start recording the next CD. I completed the writing process for all songs and I'm very proud to tell you, that the next record will be awesome! It will feature 10 songs, runs approximately 60 minutes and has NO intro... hahaha...! Also there will be NO cover version on it. I'll keep you updated with some more info and photos during the next coupla months."
AXEL RUDI PELL's new album will be released by SPV in Germany on October 24 and in the rest of Europe on October 27. Release dates for other territories will be confirmed very soon.
Catch the band live at the Rock Of Ages and Wacken Open Air festivals during the summer. A headlining tour is planned for January 2009.
Stated Axel: "We tried to play some dates in the fall, but everybody seems to be on the road, so we decided to play our own tour a bit later."
SPV Records will release guitarist Axel Rudi Pell's new double DVD, Live Over Europe, on February 22nd in Germany, February 25th throughout Europe and on a "to be determined" date in North America.

Finland's BEFORE THE DAWN is the latest act confirmed for next summer's Wacken Open Air Festival, set to take place July 31 - August 2, 2008 in Wacken, Germany.
The Wacken Open Air Festival will be headlined by IRON MAIDEN (on July 31st). British Doom Metallers MY DYING BRIDE have been confirmed as the headliners of the 6th annual Bloodstock Festival to be held at the Assembly Rooms in Derby, UK on 29th-30th September 2006. MY DYING BRIDE are only the second UK band to have headlined the event, previously SAXON headlined in 2001 and 2003.

Axel Rudi Pell has been confirmed for Bloodstock's special guest slot to Primal Fear on Friday 29th September 2006. In keeping with the philosophy of bringing some of the best European bands to the UK for their first BIG shows, this show will be their first in the UK.
The artwork for the BLOODSTOCK 06 indoor festival is now on display at bloodstockfestival.com.
As a new addition to the ever-growing Bloodstock merchandise, AMUST4MUSIC in conjunction with Studio54 are producing a series of 6 fine art prints from the original artwork by Paul Raymond Gregory of the BLOODSTOCK images from 01 to 05 including the first Bloodstock Open Air image free. Each year you will be able to add to this unique collection with that years images i.e. BOA02 and Bloodstock 06 (the prints will be on sale at each respective festival this year). The first series of 6 prints will be offered for sale for £25 plus p+p during January 2006 and all prints purchased until the end of February 2006 will be personally signed by Paul. Other bands confirmed for Bloodstock 06 include the UK's reformed thrashers ONSLAUGHT, PRIMAL FEAR, MACHINE MEN, OMNIUM GATHERUM, DIED SMILING, ENEMY UNKNOWN, BEYOND AFTERLIFE and STEEL TORMENTOR. There are expected to be 25-26 bands performing in total, with more to be announced in the forthcoming months.
Bloodstock 06 is to be held in the Assembly Rooms in Derby on 29th - 30th September 2006. Tickets for the 2-day show are £51 including a £1 booking fee. Dream Theater are the latest band confirmed for the Graspop Metal Meeting festival, set to take place June 24-26 in Dessel, Belgium. Also scheduled to perform at the 10th-anniversary edition of the festival are Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Axel Rudi Pell, Grave Digger, Suicidal Tendencies and Exciter. Axel Rudi Pell, Edguy, and Overkill are the latest names to be added to next year's Wacken Open Air Festival, slated to take place on August 4-6 in Wacken, Germany. Other bands scheduled to appear at the festival are Accept, Nightwish, Sinner, Marduk, Ensiferum, Mercenary, Illdisposed, Endstille, and Turisas. More bands will be announced soon.
German guitarist Axel Rudi Pell has abandoned plans to perform a few acoustic shows in Germany to promote his upcoming "The Ballads III" compilation. The cancellation is being attributed to "different reasons," according to a posting on Axel's web site. One of 'em was the very tight schedule to promote the tour properly."
"The Ballads III" is scheduled for release on October 25 through SPV Records. In addition to all of the group's ballads since the release of "The Ballads II", the disc includes three newly recorded songs: "Don't Say Goodbye" (a new Axel composition), a new acoustic version of "Forever Angel", and a cover version of RAINBOW's "The Temple of the King".
As previously reported, the second leg of Axel Rudi Pell are tentatively scheduled to perform at next year's Bang Your Head, Graspop Metal Meeting and Wacken Open Air festivals.
The upcoming Axel Rudi Pell album, called "The Ballads III," is to be released October 25, 2004.

Dutch gothic/atmospheric doom metal group After Forever have has been confirmed for the Lorca Rock Festival, set to take place August 14 at Antiguo Cuartel de Infanteria in Lorca (Murcia), Spain.
