Batushka & Elvenking Confirmed For 70000 Tons 2023
Two more bands have now been confirmed for the 2023 edition of 70000 Tons Of Metal, the metal cruise which will set sail from Miami on January 30th and dock in Bimini, Bahamas, before returning on February 3rd. Joining the lineup will be Polish black metal outfit Batushka, as well as Italian power metal group Elvenking.

Vektor Pulled From 70000 Tons Of Metal
Last night, the organisers of the 70000 Tons Of Of Metal cruise announced that Sci-Fi thrashers Vektor would be performing in the 2023 edition of the event. In the past hour, the 70000 Tons social pages have confirmed that the band have since been removed from the event. While no reason has been cited, there were angry responses from attendees past and present owing to allegations made against lead vocalist David DiSanto by his ex-wife.
70000 Tons Of Metal will sail from Miami on January 30th and last until February 3rd, during which time the ship will dock in Bimini, Bahamas.

German power metal veterans Freedom Call has been announced as the latest confirmation for the 2023 edition of the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise, in what will be their third time on board. The cruise will set sail from Miami on January 30th, docking in Bimini, Bahamas before returning on February 3rd.

The organisers of the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise have confirmed a further four bands for the already impressive lineup of the 2023 edition, which will set sail from Miami on January 30th. Keep Of Kalessin has been announced as the latest addition to the 2023 edition of 70000 Tons of metal. The cruise which will set sail on January 30th from Miami, Florida.
Sailors on board Round 11 will be the first people on the planet to see and hear their upcoming album, "Katharsis", performed live in its entirety as an Album Live World Premiere. Furthermore, there will be an exclusive album listening session of "Katharsis" hosted on board.
For the other live performance fans will witness their timeless classics in a special 25th Anniversary Anthology set.

Sirenia Posts "Voyage Voyage" Music Video Online
French-Norwegian symphonic metal institution Sirenia will unveil their tenth studio album, "Riddles, Ruins & Revelations," this Friday, February 12 via Napalm Records. The 11-track album skilfully portrays the band's multifaceted nature and offers a versatile symphonic metal vortex through splicing heavy sounds with modern influences.
After releasing catchy first single "Addiction No. 1" in late 2020, followed by smashing "We Come To Ruins" shortly after, the four-piece around mastermind, bandleader, multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter and producer Morten Veland now offers another surprise and presents the third single, "Voyage Voyage," a cover of Desireless' 1986 hit. With this bonus track on Riddles, Ruins & Revelations, Sirenia once again successfully combine symphonic soundscapes with electronic vibes, showcasing a whole new facet of their ability while staying true to their roots at the same time. Presented in her mother tongue, the lyrics fit perfectly for France-based singer Emmanuelle Zoldan.
Mastermind Morten Veland on choosing "Voyage Voyage" for the album:
"As our new album is influenced by the eighties to some extent, we thought it would be fitting to do a cover version from this era, and include it as a bonus track on the album. 'Voyage Voyage' by the artist Desireless is one of my favourite songs from this decade and it was a very interesting song to cover. In terms of covers, I love to find songs from a completely different genre and then put Sirenia's touch and sound to it. It never made any sense to me to do a cover version of a different rock or metal band, as the versions would end up too similar anyway."
