Shadowstrike Taps Optic Keyboardist For DeLand

New York power metal act Shadowstrike announced that the band has tapped Optic keyboardist Ryan Patane for the upcoming opening night performance at the upcoming Metal Underground.com sponsored DeLand Rock & Metal Festival, which takes place from November 7-9, 2014 at OB's Restaurant & Lounge located at 1750 North Woodland Blvd in DeLand, Florida. For a long time, power metal has had a dedicated spot on my long list of musical interests and it certainly shows in my keyboard playing from time to time. I'm pumped that ShadowStrike invited me to join them on this epic endeavor and I hope everyone is excited to see us perform! Cheers and May The Force....well, you know the rest..."

Shadowstrike's Matt Krais stated: "This is something we are very excited about and will remember for a long time. Optic Issues Album Update

Long Island's Optic has checked in with the following update about working on a new album:

"Hey everyone! While there is still plenty of work to be done for the album, we'd like to take a moment to give you some insight into what to expect from it.

"It will have 8 tracks, and will likely have a running time of about an hour. of these 8, there are 3 we have yet to record, including our 16 minute song 'Echoes in a Solemn Chamber,' you know, our short one.

"Check out our videos section for an early, pre-Kenny version of the song, as well as some other neat stuff. Better yet, the youtube page.

"We'll be knocking those out soon enough, and once that's over with the album will be released. In the meantime, keep checking our page for updates, videos, and maybe, just maybe, if you're done with your homework in time for dinner, a little surprise."
