Power Trip Streaming New Album's Title Track
Power Trip will be releasing "Manifest Decimation" this coming June 11th, 2013. The opening and title track has now been let off the chain via Pitchfork.com here. The following press release was also issued about the album:
"Channeling the old-school energy of legendary acts like Cro-Mags, Nuclear Assault and Leeway through modern thrash warfare, Texas crossover battalion Power Trip has wrapped up production on their debut LP for Southern Lord and today distributes the details on the beast that is Manifest Decimation.
"Amidst massive touring over the past five years, and having unloaded a cache of demos, splits and D.I.Y. releases along the way, the high-powered metallic punk/hardcore attack of Dallas-based Power Trip caught the attention of Southern Lord, who brought the crew on-board for the release of their first full-length.
"Recorded by Arthur Rizk and Daniel Schmuck in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Argyle, Texas, and produced, mixed, and mastered by Arthur Rizk at Solomon's Gate in Philadelphia, the eight tracks on Manifest Decimation hurtle the band’s 'steel, speed and destruction; ethos direct at the jugular with thirty-five minutes of crossover intensity that sounds like it was excavated from a 1987 time capsule with sixteen tons of radioactive dynamite. The intense album layout was created by Italian artist Paolo 'Madman' Girardi, completing this vile package for delivery via Southern Lord on June 11th, 2013."

More Bands Announced For NEM&HF 2013
The latest round of bands confirmed to storm the stage at New England Metal and Hardcore Festival XV has today been announced. The fresh additions to the brutal three-day event include Alleageon, Alpha & Omega, Born Low, MurderDeathKill and Dark Sermon, as well as Baltimore hardcore squad Trapped Under Ice and New Jersey’s renowned explosive tech metal practitioners The Dillinger Escape Plan.
A tour based around the fest has also been created by MassConcerts, something they’ve done for the past four years. Dubbed Mission Quest to Metal Fest, the trek was formed in order to help a few of the bands get to and from NEMHF this year. This year the tour unifies Expire, Alpha & Omega, Power Trip, Twitching Tongues, and Antagonist A.D. on a ten-date assault leading up to their individual performances at the festival.
Stated promoter Scott Lee on the formation of this built-in tour: “We are really proud of this year’s lineup, and to bring these bands together leading up to it. The tour includes Expire who played last year, California powerhouse Alpha & Omega, Power Trip who is an up-and-coming hardcore band from Texas, and Twitching Tongues. We're also very excited to have Antagonist A.D. from New Zealand; they are the band coming from the farthest away for the fest. NEMHF 2013 Lineup Revealed
Promoter MassConcerts detailed the 2013 edition of the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival's annual event at The Palladium in Worcester, Mass. The three day festival commences on Friday April 19, 2013, with a kick off event on Thursday, April 18th. The press release reads as follows:
"For the 2013 installment, the NEW ENGLAND METAL & HARDCORE FESTIVAL will once again overthrow the historic venue, The Palladium, in Worcester, Massachusetts, this year marking the 15th anniversary of the iconic weekend-long gathering! The festivities will commence with a pre-party on April 18th, 2013 and the three official days of the fest following on the 19th, 20th, and 21st.
"Commented the festival’s founder Scott Lee of MassConcerts: 'I am excited with how far we have come and am ecstatic for this to be on our 15th year! It has been a long, interesting journey. We always try to make it a memorable event and we really hope you all enjoy the festival this year.'
"With more than forty acts from all realms of the extreme music world already set to storm the two stages of NEW ENGLAND METAL & HARDCORE FESTIVAL XV -- and with many more to be announced in the coming weeks -- the confirmed headliners for the event will include Hatebreed, Opeth and Suicidal Tendencies, as well as legendary thrash titans Anthrax performing their Among The Living album in its entirety, as part of their headlining spot on the Metal Alliance Tour.

FFF 2012 Announces Day Lineup Schedule
AUSTIN, TX (SEPTEMBER 5, 2012) – FUN FUN FUN FEST announced today the daily schedule for the 7th annual festival with Single Day Tickets now on sale for the Fest to be held November 2-4, 2012 at Auditorium Shores in Austin.
Recently reunited legendary hip-hop outfit Run-D.M.C will headline opening night, along with performances from Santigold, seminal L.A. punk group X, Dillon Francis and Twin Sister. The lineup for this year's installment of The Power Of The Riff West -- confirmed to take place at Los Angeles' Echo/Echoplex on August 11th -- expands yet again, adding six additional bands to the already pulverizing roster. Sunn 0))), Nausea (CA), Despise You, Hoax, Bio-Crisis and Xaphan have all been confirmed to join the party, making for a lineup of twenty-two crushing sets for the day.

Following the recent announcement of the third annual West Coast installment of The Power Of The Riff Festival in Los Angeles on August 11th, today the first ever East Coast chapter of the festivities have been confirmed!
TPOTR is an event that honors extreme music fans and musicians of all ages, tapping into a lineup that represents the forefathers, milestones and current national touring acts, while shedding light on up-and-coming and local acts. Curated by The Power Of The Riff and Southern Lord, and presented by Scenic and Brooklyn Vegan, the devastating two-day The Power Of The Riff East will take place in NYC on Saturday, September 1st and Sunday, September 2nd at Brooklyn's massive Warsaw club, boasting an incredible roster of riffcrushing artists from across the country.

Chaos in Tejas 2012 Day Two
Saturday, June 2, 2012 offered a much different pace than the previous night. Where Friday night’s lineup played deliberate rhythms and struck chords that hung in the air like an ominous fog, Saturday’s day show at Beerland focused on speed. D-beats, blast beats, double picked chords partly characterized the crossover minded bands such as Midnight and Toxic Holocaust who packed a house of enthusiastic punks and metal heads.
Packing Beerland’s sloped construction did not take long. I arrived at the venue around opening time at 3:30 to find their small smoking area nearly full. I was not at the venue for long before their staff started turning away people. When someone left, someone entered. Once again, due to the staggering amount of attendees, the stuffiness of the club and humidity, I took numerous breaks from watching each band. More...
Power Trip Signs With Southern Lord
Dallas-based thrashers Power Trip today officially announced their induction into the Southern Lord family, confirming a multi-album with the label. The following press release was issued about the band:
