Massachusetts act Diecast has posted the following message online about organizing a benefit show to help those affected by the recent bombing in Boston:
"Attention all band, promoter, and booking agent friends. Diecast is currently organizing a benefit concert with 100% of the proceeds going to the recent Boston Marathon Tragedy.
"The One Fund Boston has been set up to help those who were affected by the tragedy. I am asking that if you or a band you're in or a band you represent or heck a band you're just friends with, to reach out to us as we are looking to collect signed memorabilia with Boston Strong written on the items (ie drumheads, cd's, t-shirts, posters, etc.) The memorabilia is going to be needed to auction off at the benefit show.
"So far we have collected from my great friends in Crossfade, Rev Theory, Hollywood Undead, Diecast, Psychostick, and more... Need all the music community to step up here to do our part! All I ask is for a couple items. Hit me up if your band wants to help! They would be included in all the online ads, social media sites, band logo on the flyers, and their music played at the club during set changes, as well as in print ads! Hit me up ASAP and god bless!
"Let's show Boston how strong the music community is and what Boston means to the bands!!! Please email our management at firstname.lastname@example.org with ideas, questions, or comments. The show date will be determined in the coming weeks and of course will be in Boston. Also if you are in a local Boston band and are interested in playing on this show, please email management as well. Thanks!" More...

Time waits for no man. When I purchased a copy of Diecast’s bruising 2001 LP “Day Of Reckoning” – at the now-defunct Circuit City, of all places! – I couldn’t have imagined that in ten years’ time, I’d be relying on the Boston-based band for a sweet nostalgia fix. That savored rush arrived on Friday, April 27th, at Mill Street Brews in Southbridge, Massachusetts.
Nestled in a renovated 19th-century textile mill building and stripped of ostentatious frills, the venue boasts no fewer than three separate barrooms, each with its own stage, and a vast expanse of floor area. Tonight’s show took place in the second floor Showcase Club and, by all appearances, was a veritable “who’s who” of regional metal talent. Nearly ten bands were jammed onto the bill, cranking out condensed sets that wrapped nearly as quickly as they’d begun. Time being a bitch, I sacrificed watching most of these sets (including Western Mass favorite WrenchNeck) in favor of some needed relaxation and chitchat in the adjacent barroom. More...

Paul Stoddard (vocals) states: “Hey everyone. We are really psyched about our up coming headlining tour. This will be the last Diecast run until the next album and it's a chance for all diehard fans and friends to get the full on hour long headlining experience. Tickets are selling great and the first show in New Jersey is already sold out, so if you haven't gotten your tickets yet, you should get them now. We are also still accepting YouTube video auditions for our new bass player/background vocalist position. If you want to audition please send us two videos (one of you playing and one of you singing). You can do it with a simple web cam and then send a link to email@example.com. We look forward to receiving your submissions as well as partying with everybody on the road these next couple of months.”

It's just not safe here anymore with all the drunken actresses driving around with no panties on. We need to get the hell out of here now. If I see one more hot blonde with big breasts in a convertible, I'm going to throw up. Actually, that was a lie, I just made that up to make this release more interesting. Seriously though, this DIECAST tour is a gift and we're really thankful for the dates. MOWER needed a good heavy tour and now we've got one."

Established in Cape Coral, FL in 2000 by vocalist John Sheldon, guitarist Keith Finnell, and keyboardist Steve Chin, EkoTren has carved their name deep into the scene. After seven years of dedication, the band signed with Blind Prophecy Records in September 2007 and immediately hit the studio with acclaimed producer Paul Trust (Diecast, Endo) to craft their first full-length album, ‘Light the Fire’, available worldwide in early 2008. Steered by melody and driven by metal, the 11-track effort breathes new life into fan favorites like "The Tables Have Turned" and displays brand new tracks in EkoTren’s signature style.
