Circle II Circle Cancel North American Tour
Intromental Management, which represents CIRCLE II CIRCLE (the band led by ex-SAVATAGE singer Zak Stevens), has issued the following statement:
"It is with extreme disappointment and reluctance that we must announce that CIRCLE II CIRCLE will not be participating in the previously announced North American tour scheduled for the spring of 2008 with CIRCUS MAXIMUS and MANTICORA. Due to reasons beyond the band's control, the new album, 'Delusions of Grandeur', will not be released to coincide with the tour as previously planned. Intromental Management, AFM Records, and CIRCLE II CIRCLE have agreed unanimously that it would be in the band's best interest to focus all resources and effort on completing the new record and properly promoting it prior to touring. While we cannot announce anything at the moment, we are beyond excited at the potential tour partners for the band both Europe and North America in 2008.
"The previously announced North American 'working vacation' will continue as planned with CIRCUS MAXIMUS stepping up into the headline slot and a third band added to the opening slot. Expectations for both bands on this tour are completely realistic. However, they are dedicated to getting out on the road in North America, spreading the word, and performing special, exclusive sets for their North American fans. A revised tour schedule will be released in the immediate future."
Circle II Circle Sign With Intromental Management
CIRCLE II CIRCLE, led by ex-SAVATAGE vocalist Zak Stevens, has signed a worldwide deal with Intromental Management.
"I'm thrilled to be working with a band that has not only established their reputation in the metal scene as a premiere talent, but is poised to take it to the next level with our help. I have been a fan of Zak's ever since his days in the mighty Savatage when I first heard Edge of Thorns", said Intromental's Managing Director, Claus Jensen.
Adds Stevens, "We're very excited about the limitless potential that this cooperation presents for us. Intromental's reputation and professionalism is outstanding. Their new partnership with Glenn Harveston directing operations in the USA was also a major factor in our signing with Intromental. We're looking forward to great things to come." More...
Savage Circus Cancel Tour and Issue Statement
SAVAGE CIRCUS comment on the cancellation of the last days of the European Tour with CIRCLE II CIRCLE:
"Hi Everybody,
"Unfortunatly our bass player (Yenz Leonhardt) is faced with a massive muscle contortion in his shoulder resulting from ongoing overtaxing during rehearsals and touring. Being in pain from the very first minute of the tour his condition worsened day by day and finally reached a point where he had to see a doctor specializing in sports injuries. In Milano Yenz wasn't able to move his head anymore... The Doctor called him off duty immediately and gave him 20 (in words: TWENTY!) painkiller shots in the neck and spine. Even though the doc forbid Yenz to even look at a bass guitar for at least a week, he decided to play that last show in Hamburg at the Ballroom." More...

It is an honor and a privilege to now have the opportunity of creating music with Jim Dorian."

Circle II Cirle's Zachary Stevens in Live Fan Chat
Abrasive Rock.com will be hosting a live fan chat with Circle II Circle mainman Zachary Stevens Monday, November 14th, at 4:00 PM Pacific (7:00 Eastern). Fans will be able to talk to Zak directly about the critically acclaimed second album, The Middle Of Nowhere, as well as anything else they want to know.
Stevens sang for SAVATAGE from 1992 to 2000, replacing Jon Oliva. Their debut solo album, "Watching In Silence", set the scene in 2003. Now, with compositional/instrumental help from Oliva, Stevens has upped the ante on his promising solo career with "In The Middle of Nowhere", delivering 10 studio tracks in 54:26, a distinct synthesis of Progressive Rock and Power Metal. Considering his longtime musical pedigree, and the musicians he’s surrounded himself with, this South Carolinian is primed and poised to take the prog-power sub-genre to new heights with CIRCLE II CIRCLE.
On November 14th Abrasive Rock will also launch a new contest for fans to enter for a chance to win signed copies of the album as well as cool new merchendise. Go to AbrasiveRock.com/chat for more info.
