The video below reveals that the headlining act will be Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, with an extended two hour set, along with Circle II Circle, featuring Zak Stevens (Ex-Savatage), who will play the entire Savatage LP "Wake of Magellan." The opening act will be Sacramento progressive band In the Silence.
The announcement reads as follow:
"The time has finally come to reveal who will be playing the Kick-Off Show for 2013. To say that I am beyond excited would be the understatement of the year!
"I want to thank Wayne, Jen and of course Glenn for all of their help in getting this epic video made and posted. I think that it is a fantastic prelude for what is to come.
"Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, November 17. There will be a rather large incentive to buy your tickets *early*, so watch the forum and website for more details on that date.
"I guarantee that this Kick-Off Show will be one for the record books. In fact, I am SO confident of this that I am going to offer a 50% discount on the 2014 Kick-Off Show for everyone that purchases a ticket to the 2013 show. Yes, you read that right. If you purchase a ticket to Kick-Off 2013, you will be able to get into Kick-Off 2014 for HALF PRICE. No tricks, no gimmicks. I am beyond excited for everyone I have on this bill and I know they are going to put on a terrific show. I want every single one of you to be there.
"The doors are a little early because the mid-card and headline bands both have very, very special extended sets. The middle band will be playing 90 minutes and the headliner will be playing for 135 minutes! Everyone is going to get the maximum amount of music for their hard-earned dollar.
"I am looking forward to hearing your feedback on this line-up. I have been working very hard on it for many weeks now. I think it is a fitting way to start out the 14th year of the greatest metal festival on the planet. I look forward to sharing the evening with all of you.

The performance will mark the album's 25th Anniversary. The band will also perform some songs from Doctor Buther, the defunct project of Oliva and Caffery.

In the latest update on the band's Facebook Page, Kinder states: "As for the 'band,' we have made no decisions on anything at this point. The first objective right now is the songs. So, we will continue the process as we have done since 'Maniacal Renderings' which is basically Jon's ideas and me crafting them into working songs and then we will worry about the rest of the details. Everything and everyone else involved with work itself out in the very near future. It's just nice to finally be back on that horse and riding a new wave of music for a JOP release in 2012."

Circle II Circle Issues Update To Studio Diary
Circle II Circle has been working hard on their highly anticipated 5th studio album "Consequence of Power". Check out LoudTrax.com to read a studio diary written exclusively by the band. The album is set for a Fall 2010 release.
An excerpt from the studio diary is as follows:
"Went into SWEET SPOT studios & started setting the drums up for CONSEQUENCE OF POWER. I am really looking forward to it because I really like this studio. Working w/ the owner Jim Fox, is always a treat. I always like to go in early, the night before and stretch out new drum heads on my custom Joey Jordison double bass kit. This kit is set up a lot different than most drummers and tuned a lot lower than most, consisting of 10” & 12” drums on the far left a 13” drum in the middle and a 14” on the right w/ a 13” Pork Pie metal screamer snare. My cymbals consist of a variety of brands Zildjian, Sabian, & Meinl. The cymbals are also set up a little stranger than the average drummers set up consisting of a set of 13” hi hats on the left and a set of 14” hi hats on the right. An 18” china on the right and an 18” china on the left. Two 18” crash cymbals in the center right & center left position and two 16” crash cymbals on the outside. The ride cymbal placement is low center right." More...
Circle II Circle Enters Sweet Spot Studios
CIRCLE II CIRCLE, led by former front man of SAVATAGE, Zak Stevens, has begun laying down tracks at Sweet Spot Studios for the recording of it’s 5th album entitled "Consequence Of Power." The second concept album for the band, "Consequence Of Power" has been described as, “a melodic power metal album catering to all fans from the old SAVTAGE era to all CIRCLE II CIRCLE European fans and breaking new ground for an all new fan base in America.” The release is expected for Fall of 2010 through AFM Records.
According to Stevens, “It’s been a hell of a ride so far, but it seems like just the beginning for some reason. People are really appreciating the purity of real hard rock & metal music these days since the genre became somewhat out of focus within the music industry the last five years. The demand for our style of music has roared back from fans, both young and old, on the history behind the band. We hear the calling and we continue to move forward. CIRCLE II CIRCLE will take you on a musical journey like no other rock/metal band. We will deliver a monumental evening of rock and roll power every night on tour. Don’t miss it!” The band’s line up consists of Zak Stevens (vocals), Andy Lee (guitar), Mitch Stewart (bass/keyboards) and new drummer Johnny Osborn, formerly of DR BUTCHER.
CIRCLE II CIRCLE recently signed a management deal with VENOMM and is currently booking for the POWER TOUR 2010/2011 due to begin his summer.
