Manowar To Headline Ost Fest 2012

New York's own true metal band Manowar announced that the band will headline the Saturday, June 16, 2012 portion of Ost Fest in Bucharest, Romania. The event will be held from June 15-17, 2012 at the Romexpo.

Overkill Posts Behind The Scenes Footage

Overkill has leaked another behind the scenes video clip surrounding the new record "The Electric Age" coming out March 27th, 2012. In this episode, lead vocalist Bobby "Blitz" answers questions about the recording process, themes behind the new record, and how the band keeps the process new and fresh. Check out the video below.

The band also recently released the first single "Electric Rattlesnake" off the upcoming record "The Electric Age." Listen to the song here. Overkill's 16th full length studio album is due out on March 27, 2012. The record will be released in Europe on Nuclear Blast Records on March 30, 2012.

Obey The Brave To Play NEMHF 2012

Canadian metal/hardcore band Obey The Brave will make its U.S. debut at the 14th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival on Friday, April 20th.

The new band features former members of Century Media recording artists Despised Icon and Mediaskare's Blind Witness.

"Some of my favorite touring memories took place at the Palladium," said vocalist Alex Erian. "So stoked to be back and can't wait to play Obey The Braves' first US show ever at the NEMHF. Shit's about to get real, fellas."

Obey The Brave is managed by Good Fight Entertainment and is now working on its debut album for a label to be announced.

New Jersey based thrash metal veterans Overkill have announced a headlining tour in support of their forthcoming new studio album, "The Electric Age," which will be released through Nuclear Blast Records on March 27th in Europe, with a North American release of March 30th to follow. Dragonforce To Kick Off U.S. Tour At NEMHF

Dragonforce announced that the band will kick off the U.S. Tour with an appearance at the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival at The Palladium in Worcester, Mass on April 21, 2012. The festival runs from April 20-22, 2012. Dragonforce will be one of the headlining acts on Saturday with All That Remains and Overkill.

The new Dragonforce record "The Power Within" is scheduled for release on April 15, 2012 through the band's own label Electric Generation Recordings.

New Overkill Album Title And Artwork Revealed

New York thrash legends Overkill announced that the band's follow up to "Ironbound" will be entitled "The Electric Age." The album is scheduled for release on March 27, 2012 (North America) through eOne Music and March 30, 2012 through Nuclear Blast Records.

In an interview with Jürgen Tschamler on EMP Merchandising's website, Overkill frontman Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth had the following comments on the release: "Our new album is called, 'The Electric Age' and of course it's still exciting to record a new album. I think the key is knowing who you are and to know also how to create new things and not lose your roots."

Song titles for the album include "Electric Rattlesnake," "Wish You Were Dead," "Drop the Hammer" and "Save Yourself."

The release date for the upcoming compilation “Monsters of Metal - Vol. 8” on DVD/Blu-Ray with 90 music videos and over 400 minutes of pure metal is postponed until March 16th, 2012.

System Divide Comments On Killfest 2 Shows

System Divide will return to the U.S. once again for Killfest 2, supporting the mighty Overkill in 2012. Also on the tour are Belphegor, Aborted, Blackguard, and Diamond Plate. After the Overkill dates finish on May 12th, System Divide will journey north of the border to Canada for a string of dates.

Vocalist Sven DeCaluwe adds, "We couldn’t be more excited to be on this run with Overkill, we just finished a few dates in Europe which was a blast and are currently busy writing new material which we will display on the Overkill run. We had a killer time touring the states this year with Eluveitie and later the Hottest Chicks in hard rock tour with In This Moment and simply can’t want to get back out there, I hope all the people that got to check us out on previous tours will come out and rock out again because frankly, we got quite some surprises for you!!
