To get the opportunity to tour with bands of this ilk is something we don't take lightly. We'll ensure all the punters making it out early will get a 100% over the top and energetic performance from King Parrot.
"Touring with our favorite bands is something we enjoy very much, and we want to ensure that we continue to build on the fans we have made in Australia, Asia and North America. Our last 2 European tours with Weedeater and Soulfly were both really successful, and I think this package is as strong as it gets in the extreme metal world. Be prepared, this tour is stacked from top to bottom and we'll ensure the stage is on fire by the time we are done." More...

I love what this tour package offers: it's one of the most diverse lineups I've seen in recent times, and I know all three bands are in great form right now.
"We are currently touring in Australia, and previous to that we just got back from Europe with Soulfly where we performed thirty-six shows over six weeks in eighteen countries. Obviously we love being out on the road and when the opportunity to tour with childhood hero's Voivod came about, then we couldn't pass it up. We're looking forward to seeing all our friends out on the road in the US and Canada real soon!" More...

Commented by frontman Matt Young: "Having the opportunity to tour with Soulfly through the UK and Europe is an honour and we are really looking forward to our most extensive tour of the continent. Our new record 'Dead Set' has been received really well there, but it's our live show where the band excels. We feel like our live performance is pushing boundaries within the extreme realm of music, so having this chance to perform in a lot of new places is really important to us. We look forward to bring our new brand of chaos to the stages across Europe in 2016." More...

A little bit of rain didn’t stop SXSW attendees from once again packing the Dirty Dog Bar down on Sixth Street this Friday. While the Metal Sucks showcase was heavy on tech death bands, the Tone Deaf Touring showcase included down tempo acts The Skull and Weedeater. Before those acts took the stage, though, progressive instrumentalists Stinking Lizaveta opened the show. The Philadelphia, Ohio based band has fifteen years of touring American and European audiences. This longevity showed in the trio’s tightness. Their female drummer played hard sticking tightly to the bassist who played an upright bass. The guitarist adeptly traversed his fret board. They received a good response from the small crowd. Agonia Records just issued the following announcement about inking a new record deal with King Parrot:
"We're pleased to announce the signing of the Australian one-of-a-kind thrash metal / grindcore / punk entity, King Parrot. Hailing from Melbourne, the band released debut album 'Bite Your Head Off' in 2012, which gained high praise for its stand-out musical performance layered with black humour and nowadays rare, yet unique creativity.
"King Parrot's upcoming new album was recorded by Phil Anselmo (Pantera, Down) in Nodferatu’s Lair Studio and is set to land this spring via Agonia Records in Europe, Housecore Records in North America and Rocket/EVP in Australia."
On the new deal, the band commented: "Everyone at King Parrot is excited at the prospect of working with Agonia Records for Europe. We've heard nothing but excellent reports from other acts on their label and believe partnering with them in Europe will see us hit the territory more often. They believe in the band, and with this new album containing our best work to date, we want to spend a lot of time touring in Europe. We are currently undertaking our first Europe tour now, and getting a great response, so when this new album comes out we hope to be here a whole lot more! Bring it on!"
