King Parrot Streaming "Die Before You Die"

"Ugly Produce" is the impending new full-length from Australian extreme metal miscreants King Parrot, slated for release on September 22nd in North America via Housecore Records, in Europe via Agonia Records, and in Australia via EVP Recordings.

The album was recorded at the infamous Goatsound Studios in Melbourne, Australia and produced by Blood Duster's Jason Fuller. In advance of its official detonation, today second single, "Die Before You Die," is offered up for communal consumption.

King Parrot comments: "This track was one of the last we put together when we were writing the album. It's got a real thrash vibe to it, but also features some of the slowest and sludgiest moments from our forthcoming album. The lyrics touch on breaking out of the mold that's expected of you in society, and pissing caution to the wind. It's effectively what we've had to do to get this band out of Australia. If you live like you've already died, or approach life from that mindset, you can get through most things without fear." More...

King Parrot Announces Tour With Decapitated

Australia's notorious metal villains from King Parrot just revealed European tour plans in support of new studio album, "Ugly Produce/" The band will hit the road with death metal giants Decapitated for a 29-date run (including 10 dates in the U.K. alone) in October and November 2017. Vocalist Matt "Youngy" Young commented: "We've been working hard on our new album down in Australia, and we honestly believe this record is not only a continuation of our trademark sound, but a progression into new territory in terms of songwriting and musicianship. Couple that with the most off the wall videos we have ever produced, and I think we are really onto something with this new release.

"Most importantly we're excited to bring these new tracks to the European audiences when we tour alongside Polish legends Decapitated through October and November. It will be an awesome and diverse tour package, featuring two bands from different spheres of the extreme metal world, bringing utter chaos to the stage each and every night! Be prepared for more over the top King Parrot absurdity than ever before, we are giving this one our all!".

New Bands Added To Brutal Assault 2017

A bunch of new bands have been announced for the 22nd edition of Brutal Assault, which takes place this year in Fortress Josefov near Jaromer in the Czech Republic on August 9-12. Returning once more are heavy-weights Hatebreed, who last graced the fortress stages in 2012 and 2013. This is reportedly in response to festival-goers requests for more hardcore in the line-up.

The Dillinger Escape Plan will be including the festival in their series of farewell dates. It looks like the band's appearance here won't be affected by the bus crash that caused some European tour dates to be cancelled last month. Dillinger last played Brutal Assault in 2015.

Thrash veterans Overkill, touring in support of their recently released 18th studio album, "The Grinding Wheel", have also been added. No stranger to the fortress stage, Overkill last appeared at the festival in 2013.

Helsinki's Wintersun are newcomers to Brutal Assault, appearing for the first time. Can we assume they will be playing material from their long-awaited third album? There's no official word as yet. More...

King Parrot Comments On Upcoming Tour

Australian outfit King Parrot can't get enough of Europe and will be coming back to the continent for the second time in 2016. After a successful run in January, February and March as direct support to legendary Soulfly, King Parrot will be the opening act for another pair of metal giants, Exodus and Obituary.

The "Battle Of The Bays Euro Tour 2016" will run through October and November, also including NY groove/industrial crossover band Prong. The band opened the year with a bang and will also close it in a very exciting and noticeable way, ensures King Parrot vocalist Matt Young:

"All of us in King Parrot are excited to announce our return to Europe on what is one of the most prolific and legendary tours we have done to date. To get the opportunity to tour with bands of this ilk is something we don't take lightly. We'll ensure all the punters making it out early will get a 100% over the top and energetic performance from King Parrot.

"Touring with our favorite bands is something we enjoy very much, and we want to ensure that we continue to build on the fans we have made in Australia, Asia and North America. Our last 2 European tours with Weedeater and Soulfly were both really successful, and I think this package is as strong as it gets in the extreme metal world. Be prepared, this tour is stacked from top to bottom and we'll ensure the stage is on fire by the time we are done." More...

Commented by frontman Matt Young: "Having the opportunity to tour with Soulfly through the UK and Europe is an honour and we are really looking forward to our most extensive tour of the continent. Our new record 'Dead Set' has been received really well there, but it's our live show where the band excels.
