SEVEN WITCHES mainman Jack Frost has slammed THE CURSED/ex-HADES guitarist Dan Lorenzo for allegedly "talking a lot of shit" about him and "putting a lot of shit on the Internet" about him "for no reason whatsoever." Speaking to "The Classic Metal Show", Frost stated, "The guy [Dan Lorenzo] is a douchebag and a shitty guitar player, and I hope he hears this finally. He talks a lot of shit about me to people. So I just want to say this: Dan Lorenzo is a douchebag."
He continued, "Dan talks a lot of shit about me, and he puts a lot of shit on the Internet about me for no reason whatsoever. I've always been nice to this guy, dude, and he really ripped me apart to a lot of people for no reason. That's why I'm pretty disgusted with him. I just don't like the guy anymore. I wish he would say it to my face that he doesn't like me. I'd be cool with that. Alan [Tecchio, current SEVEN WITCHES vocalist who previously played with Lorenzo in both HADES and NON-FICTION] is an amazing singer, and I'm tired of people putting him down. That's kind of like...I'm pretty annoyed with what Dan's been saying about me, to be honest with you. I never talk shit about people, ever. But this is the first time that I've had enough of, you know...it got back to me pretty bad. . . He's saying that I'm a shitty guitar player. I don't know what I'm doing. I'm terrible. I'm a joke. I'm a joke in the industry."
Dan Lorenzo has released the following statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET in response to Jack Frost's comments:
"This morning, for the first time, I heard what Jack had said about me on 'The Classic Metal Show' this weekend. I was surprised and figured he must have me confused with somebody else. Jack said I 'put a lot of shit on the Internet' about him. Perhaps I don't know how to use Google properly...but I can't find ANYTHING I've said about him! Jack also said 'Dan is a shitty guitar player, and I hope he hears this FINALLY'... so I guess Jack has been saying that for awhile for me to hear! Who knew? The more I think about it... he's RIGHT! I am a shitty guitar player! I was NEVER into technical players. I consider myself a songwriter and a mediocre guitar play who has his own style.
"The ONLY thing I can ever remember saying about SEVEN WITCHES was that it's not my style of music and that I had heard a few songs off their last album and I thought Alan sang much better than the reviews would have had me believe.
"I know Jack was a big fan of NON-FICTION. Somebody told me that perhaps Jack is upset that Alan and I are on speaking terms again.
"I'd be MORE upset about Jack accusing me of things I've never said, but I'm just so happy to see my name in the news in ANY capacity! Jack, next time PLEASE mention www.DanLorenzo.net and/or www.the-cursed.net."
SEVEN WITCHES have issued the following update:

"Touring with VOLZ is wrapping up. We have a few more shows to go and then I'm hitting the stage with the LIZZY BORDEN gang again. Lizzy is tearing up the East Coast with 3 dates to celebrate the upcoming release of their new album, Appointment With Death."
Lizzy posted this: "...for all of you on the East Coast, we are launching AWD with some Halloween CD release parties where we will be performing songs from Appointment With Death as well as some of the Borden fan faves. We are also very happy to announce that Jack Frost will be sitting in with us again (as he did so brilliantly at the New England Metal Fest) as a second guitarist." More...

Seven Witches mainman/guitarist Jack Frost has issued the following update:
"What's up all? Just wanted to touch bases and bring you all some news on what's going on in the Witches camp.
As I'm sure some of you know, I'm not going to be able to join Marshall Law. Believe me when I tell you, it's nothing personal on either end, Marshall Law and their fans are great. The fact is that it just came at a really bad time as far as things coming up on my end, (Which I'll get into as this update continues) and like the press release from Marshall Law said, we just don't have time to do the quality product that Marshall Law and Seven Witches are known for, so rather then put out a substandard product and disappoint any of our fans, we decided to call it day. I wish the guys nothing but the best and hope they have great and even huge success with everything they do and want to thank them for the opportunity to even play with such an awesome group as Marshall Law.
In other news, Seven Witches and Frost, my solo project, are on the verge of signing a new record deal with a MAJOR company that will give both projects a three record deal each. With this deal, it will allow for more touring, better videos, bigger and better distribution and more support then we've ever received in the past. At this point nothing is set in stone so I can't say much more, but It will definitely be better for anyone who say's that they never get to see us live or can't find our albums. More...

Vicious Rumors, are in the studio recording their 9th studio album scheduled for release in May 06. Laying down the tracks on this release will be an all-star, veteran lineup: Geoff Thorpe (guitars), Brad Gillis (guitars), James Rivera (vocals), Dave Starr (bass) and Larry Howe (drums).
Brad Gillis (Ozzy, Night Ranger) returns to metal with Vicious Rumors for their new cd and tour. Brad entered the metal scene in 1982, stepping up to replace the late, great, Randy Rhoades on Ozzy’s “Diary of a Madman” tour. Brad left Ozzy following his electrifying performance on “Speak of the Devil – Live” and went on to multi-platinum success with Night Ranger. There is no doubt that Brad’s guitar work is sure to be a formidable addition to the VR guitar assault.
James Rivera (Helstar, Flotsam & Jetsam, Seven Witches) brings a true metal spirit to Vicious Rumors. With his powerful and dynamic voice, James has recorded and toured with many legendary metal outfits and now finds a new home in VR for their 2006 release and tour.
Dave Starr, VR’s original bass player, has rejoined the band. Dave performed on VR’s earliest releases including, “Soldiers of the Night”, “Vicious Rumors” self-titled album, “Welcome to the Ball” and “Plug in and Hang On – Live”. With Dave’s return, the band is now 3 original members strong reforming the very nucleus that originated VR’s classic style and sound.
“This is truly a very exciting time for VR. The chemistry between the five of us is very wicked!” says band founder, Geoff Thorpe.
Vicious Rumors is planning a worldwide tour in support of their new CD following its release this spring.

Neil Turbin (ex-ANTHRAX) and Alan Tecchio (ex-HADES, WATCHTOWER) are the two vocalists currently in the running for the vacant singer slot in SEVEN WITCHES, according to informed sources. Both vocalists recently appeared on SEVEN WITCHES guitarist Jack Frost's upcoming solo CD, "Out in the Cold", tentatively due in September (Turbin can be heard on "Crucifixation", while Tecchio appears on "Hell or High Water"). Other singers that have lent their pipes to the CD include Terry Ilous from XYZ ("Out in the Cold"), and Ted Poley of DANGER DANGER (cover of APRIL WINE's "Sign of the Gypsy Queen" and "Wasted Love").
Vocalist James Rivera (HELSTAR, DISTANT THUNDER) quit SEVEN WITCHES in April in order to focus on his other projects.
In related news, BRONX CASKET COMPANY — which features in its ranks Frost and OVERKILL bassist D.D. Verni — recently shot a video for the track "Little Dead Girl" from their forthcoming album, due later in the year via Regain Records. The animated video for the upbeat-yet-haunting song is said to be in the style of Tim Burton's work, featuring dark but very tongue-in-cheek characters and imagery.
SEVEN WITCHES guitarist Jack Frost has issued a statement regarding the disastrous circumstances that led to the group's underage fans being evicted from the venue halfway through the group's live DVD shoot at Crocodile Rock in Allentown, PA Saturday night (Feb. 12). His statement reads as follows:
"First of all, I just want to thank from the bottom of my heart, all of our true fans who have stuck with us since day one.
"I would like to explain what happened last night at our DVD taping. My good friend John from Vyagra Music is the one who backed up the entire project. Orginally he was going to have the shoot at The Freightyard in Allentown, PA. However, our former booking agent, Tammy Taylor, had an idea that Crocodile Rock would be a better location as her friend is the owner of the club. More...

Jack from Seven Witches has posted this message on the band's official website:
What's up all you metalheads? Been a long while since I dropped all of you a line, so let's get to the good stuff :
The newest Seven Witches CD is out on Sanctuary records and is receiving great reviews some of which are up in our CD reviews section on this website. If you haven't got it yet, what are you waiting for? The reviewers say they think this is our best work yet. More exciting news for the Witches, we've just sign with Tammy Taylor of Universal Attractions (yup, a division of Universal Movies) one of the largest booking agencies on the east coast. Currently we're working on a major U.S. tour, scheduled to start in January. All the details aren't worked out yet, but let's just say the tour should be insane! Even more exciting news for all you Witches fans, we're currently working on putting an official issue Seven Witches DVD together. The DVD will include live performances and a whole bunch of other great shit, look for it sometime in 2005. In other related news, James Rivera, lead singer and all around talented motherfucker, is currently doing a Helstar reunion tour scheduled soon for Europe, so keep an eye out for James and the Helstar boys as this should be a killer tour for them. Currently I'm working on putting together another solo CD. No release date or title as of yet, but as soon as I figure it out, I'll have it up here on the website to keep all of you informed. Coming soon on the website, a new section called "Witches and Beyond," a section dedicated to everything that the Witches members have done past to present. This section will include rare pictures, little known facts, video's and audio. It should be up sometime in the near future. I guess that's it for the moment. Stay tuned to the website for more info on tour dates and other Witches related stuff.
Reunited Boston-based metallers Meliah Rage are scheduled to appear at two upcoming New England area heavy metal music festivals that are doubling as CD release parties.
Formed in Boston in 1986 (and featuring Godsmack's Sully Erna on drums for the release of "Unfinished Business"), Meliah Rage recently returned after a 10-year absence from the studio with a new studio album, "Barely Human." The disc was released worldwide August 24through Screaming Ferret Wreckords/Escapi Music.
The Metal Nation: Northern Aggression festival will occur during the weekend of October 1-2 at the Bomb Shelter in Manchester, NH. The lineup will include Seven Witches (who are also utilizing the show as a release party for their upcoming album "Year of the Witch") and Metal Blade Records artists Beyond the Embrace, as well a host of Screaming Ferret Wreckords developing artists, including Tearabyte (an exciting band from Texas promoting their second release for the label, "Gloom Factory"), Red Right Hand, Candy Striper Death Orgy, Distrust and new signees The Accursed. More information on the festival and complete band lineup can be found at www.northern-aggression.com.
The Sayonara Summer Fest is scheduled for Saturday, October 9 at the Bellingham Sportsman Club in Bellingham, MA. Along with Meliah Rage, this two-stage festival will feature 28 bands (based primarily in New England and the East Coast), one of which features former members of the prominent New England band Reveille: Truth Ending Cycle. Also included are several Screaming Ferret Wreckords acts, namely Candy Striper Death Orgy, Red Right Hand, and The Accursed. Denythefallout is also scheduled to perform and features Scott Harrington from recent Nuclear Assault fame. In true carnivorous form, the Sayonara Summer Fest includes an all-you-can-eat pig/cow roast, and the debauchery ensues for the entire day.
Meliah Rage are planning to follow the festivals with a North American tour. More information will be made available soon.
To date, Seven Witches has played three Koshick events and until recently, was always treated well. However, following this year's Milwaukee debacle, several payment checks, including the one given Witches' mainman/guitarist Jack Frost, bounced. A call to the promoter promised a (guaranteed) money order within five days. Yet, after the specified timeframe, still no money. Worse yet, Koshik didn't return any of the 35 phone calls from Frost, or his attorney. "If he had just picked up the phone," says Frost, "told me he was broke, maybe we could work something out, like $100 a month or something. I hear we aren't the only ones out money." In widely circulated reports, John Gallagher (Raven) claims his band is still owed money from Koshik's NJ Metal Meltdown, in March.
At this point, Frost contacted the Milwaukee police, to lodge a formal complaint. That did the trick, as Koshik was soon on the phone, but rather than make good on the debt, he threatened Frost, his band and family. "I just want people to know what kind of person they're dealing with," adds Frost. "He said, 'I know where you live. I've got some people that will come around and beat you up.' He said I don't have the balls to go to the press and tell everyone the truth. I'd heard the rumors, but now I know why people won't deal with him."
