Last week, UK orchestral funeral doom merchants Eye Of Solitude gave fans a taste of the band's brand new album, "Canto III," with the debut of "Where the Descent Began." After an overwhelming response, the band has decided to let the world experience the album in its entirety. In cooperation with Terrorizer Magazine, Eye Of Solitude and Kaotoxin Records are now streaming "Canto III" in full at this location, and below in the player.
"Canto III" is set for a November 25th worldwide release through Kaotoxin Records and is now available for pre-order. Several pre-order exclusive packages, which include a limited edition version of the album, t-shirts, hoodies and a reissue of the band's debut "Sui Caedere," are being offered now through the album's official release date. These packages will not be offered anywhere after "Canto III" hits the streets. The reissue of "Sui Caedere" will be available starting October 25th.
UK orchestral Funeral Doom merchants Eye Of Solitude and Kaotoxin Records have teamed with Zero Tolerance Magazine to deliver the full, unedited version of "Where the Descent Began," which comes off the band's forthcoming album, "Canto III."
A condensed version of "Where the Descent Began" was previously posted online, but now, thanks to this exclusive premiere on ZTMag.com, you can experience the complete 10+ minute version at this location and also below. "Canto III" will be out on November 25th through Kaotoxin Records.
UK orchestral Funeral Doom merchants Eye Of Solitude and New Noise Magazine are giving fans their first taste of material from the band's forthcoming album, "Canto III." For the premiere, Eye Of Solitude has taken album track "Where the Descent Began," which clocks in at over ten minutes on the album, and condensed it down to a four-minute sampling of the band's massive and emotive brand of doom. Experience it now at this location. "Canto III" will be out on November 25th through Kaotoxin Records.
Eye Of Solitude, UK's orchestral funeral doom finest (featuring members of Unfathomable Ruination and Kaotoxin Records label-mates Sidious), which released its successful and critically-acclaimed second full-length "Sui Caedere" in June 2012 through Kaotoxin, has returned with a monolith of heaviness entitled "Canto III." A video teaser for "Canto III" has been posted below.
The album, lyrically-based on Dante's Inferno and featuring six tracks for a total duration of over 66 minutes, is by far the most intense and heavy, yet diverse material the band has ever released, topped by the inhuman low growls of EOS mastermind Daniel Neagoe and the contributions of violinist Casper and vocalist Anton, both from Russia's Dominia.
"Canto III is the most mature material we've worked on," comments Neagoe. "Its elements vary from pure agonizing and suffocatingly depressive moments, to a burst of rage and blast beats invoking quite a Black Metal environment. It's a development for sure due to the new line-up and its input on the songs and, with guests from Dominia -Anton on vocals and Casper on violin- we have included even more atmosphere and variety. It is for sure, our peak of creativity and musicianship!"
Coming as a limited edition (1,000 hand-numbered copies) double DigiFile CD, the first pressing features no less than six bonus tracks taken from the band's 2011 untitled promo (later digitally released by Kaotoxin as the "Awoken by Crows" EP) and "The Deceit" digital EP for a total of nearly 39 minutes of additional material.
With stunning artwork by Mortal Torment's own Giannis Nakos of Remedy Art (responsible for the "Sui Caedere" artwork), "Canto III" will be released on November 25th in France (Season Of Mist), UK (Code7) and through the label's mailorder for international territories and December 3rd in the BeNeLux (Rock Inc.), North America (MVD) and through all major digital retailers.
Pre-order opportunities, including exclusive merch packs, will start on October 28th. The US release will mark the first time ever that "Sui Caedere," re-pressed for this occasion, will hit North America retail stores and mail order distros.
UK-based emotive doom/death metal band Eye Of Solitude and its label Kaotoxin Records have just released "The Deceit," a digital EP which is being sold to help raise funds for a Romanian organization for the blind.
A two-song version of "The Deceit," which includes a remastered version of "Painstained" from the band's now out-of-print debut "The Ghost" and a title track featuring guest vocals from Arno Strobl [ex-Carnival In Coal, 6:33, We All Die (Laughling)!] and Déhà [Imber Luminus, Merda Mundi, We All Die (Laughing)!], is available through all major digital music retailers.
Orders being placed through Kaotoxin Records will receive a three-song version of the EP that comes with an instrumental cover of Shape Of Despair's "Night's Dew." This bonus track is available exclusively over at Kaotoxin.
French label Kaotoxin records has teamed with the UK magazine Zero Tolerance to premiere the debut music video by London-based orchestral funeral doom/death band Eye Of Solitude for Halloween. Visit Zero Tolerance to check out the video, or do so below.
The music video is for the song "Awoken by Crows", which is both the opening track of their second full-length, "Sui Caedere" (released June 25th), and title track of their latest (digital) EP, "Awoken by Crows" (released May 7th and featuring three exclusive bonus tracks) and features alternative model Ivy Tenebrae. The video has been directed by J. Saunders of Dead Parrot Productions (already responsible for fellow label recording artists Unsu's "The Filthy" music video).
