Forgetting about his recent trouble with the law, Vince Neil (Motley Crue) joined Steel Panther on stage at the Ovation Showroom in Green Valley Ranch, Las Vegas to sing Crue staples “Live Wire” and “Kick Start My Heart”. I’m not exactly sure where Green Valley Ranch is but I suspect the Ovation room is just down the hall from the Encore Center and Bravo-Bravo Hall… More...

According to Wendy Dio, the wife and manager of heavy metal legend Ronnie James Dio, who sadly passed away last year, some of the biggest names in heavy metal and hard rock will be taking part in a forthcoming Dio tribute album.
"It probably won't come out this year, but everybody signed up," Dio told Noisecreep.
So, who's signed on thus far? "Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Glenn Hughes, Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Lemmy (Motorhead)," she said, adding Grohl will do the Black Sabbath hit 'Mob Rules,' and Halford will be taking on 'Long Live Rock 'N' Roll.' And artists keep coming on. "I just talked to Alice (Cooper), roped Alice in and Sebastian (Bach) and Chris (Jericho)," she said, referring to fellow attendees at the Golden Gods press conference. And Cooper already has a song in mind, going back to the Elf days, according to Wendy.

February 14th is a date that means different things to different people. For some, Valentine’s Day is that special occasion to show someone how much you care, while for others it’s an unfortunate reminder of just how long that unused condom has been stashed in your wallet. For every lucky gentleman who has found the lady he can sexually accost without fear of court mandated harassment classes, there’s that lonely soul who will spend Valentine’s Day with nothing but music out the speakers and a bottle of Jack.
No matter which side you fall on, heavy metal has got a song to match your mood and help you head bang through the gooiest of all the holidays.
Whether any given track is purposefully over the top and funny, depressing enough to make you pull out the eyeliner and candles, or just plain outright disturbing, metal is no stranger to the anti-love song. So for those of you will be spending Valentine’s Day alone, or just simply think the holiday is nothing more than a marketing ploy to sell chocolates and greeting cards, here’s a series of anti-love anthems to get you through the day.
For those who still have a heart and haven't devolved into extreme cynicism, you can also check out our companion listing of pro-love heavy metal music at this location.
Metalunderground.com is no stranger to aberrant sexual behavior, as we have the honor of being home the infamous “I’d put my tongue in her butt” forum thread. The following, um, “tongue-in-cheek” songs are all dedicated to everyone who has ever contributed a post to that thread.
Whether 80’s glam rock parody/tribute act Steel Panther is singing love songs or anti-love songs is a matter of some debate. What could be more loving than each band member’s willingness to sleep with anything that moves, regardless of VD status? Take the particularly touching song “Turn Out The Lights,” in which we are informed that front man Michael Starr is in desperate need of some physical attention, even though his partner actively disgusts him. What’s a horny rock star to do? Look no further than the title for the answer:

Duff McKagan (Velvet Revolver, Loaded, ex-Guns N Roses) has recently undergone sinus surgery to fix a quarter size hole caused from drug use. Based on this information I have to assume at some point Steven Adler’s (Adler’s Appetite, ex-Guns N Roses) nickname was Silver Dollar… More...

In honor of this monthly event, let’s have a quiz: Which of the following are true of Ozzy’s driving habits? A. It took him 19 attempts at the driving test in order to get his license. B. Ozzy once fell asleep during a driving test, the instructor was gone when he awoke. C. Ozzy repeatedly showed up with alcohol in his body to his driving tests. D. All of the above… More...
Slash and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas released a video to their song Beautiful Dangerous. Here’s a recap from my initial viewing:
The song starts with Fergie, looking very slutty rolling around her bed, inside a trashed apartment. There are pill bottles everywhere and Slash is playing guitar on the television. She moves to the television, straddles it, and fucks the TV. After, Fergie decides to shower and change into “going out” clothes. Interesting note is that her going out clothes may be more slutty than the panty/rip shirt combo she was initially rolling around (and fucking the television) in. Time passes, Fergie is now out. She is in the audience while Slash performs on stage AND also at a strip club. The only way I believe this is possible is that Fergie is playing a Hooker superhero and her special power is looking slutty in two places at once. Side note: This is my new favorite superhero. Eventually she meets Slash in the strip-club and spikes his drink. Next scene Slash is tied up back at the trashed apartment and is being dry humped by Fergie. While simulating sex Fergie removes Slash’s hat (a definite no-no) and puts it on. Of course the guitarist is helpless so all he can do is allow Fergie to continue to hump him while wearing his hat. Then, logically, she pulls out a knife and cuts him across his chest. My overall impression is that despite being drugged and slashed this still has to be considered a pretty good day for Slash… More...
As it’s impossible not to notice, today is Halloween. It’s probably a general consensus that Halloween goes with metal better than it does any type of music, but why is this is? In two words: Alice Cooper. With a stage show that included hangings, guillotines and chicken throwing (ok, that only happened once), the Alice Cooper band brought the shock to rock and it could be argued that nobody has been able to do it better to this day. Although now known as the solo act of singer Vincent Furnier, the name, Alice Cooper was originally the name of the band that Furnier sang in, taking their name from a witch they believed they had contacted through the use of a Ouija board.
The group was formed in 1964 as The Earwigs, choosing the Cooper name in 1968. They released their first album, “Pretties For You” the next year which was unsuccessful both critically and commercially, a fate which would also befall their second album, “Easy Action.” However, the band eventually achieved a breakthrough with the single, “I’m Eighteen,” which became a hit and helped the album, “Love It To Death” climb to the number 35 spot on the Billboard Top 200 album charts. The next album, “Killer,” not only yielded more hit singles, but saw the band expand their live show into something rock audiences had never seen before, featuring boa constrictors, chopping up bloody baby dolls and ending with Furnier being hanged in a gallows. Its no secret that heavy metal and Halloween go together like a hockey mask and a machete. While there are numerous songs you can list under the hallowed category, here are ten terrifying tracks to bleed your ears dry.
10. Moonspell - "I'll See You In My Dreams"
Who knew such a soft jazz song from 1924 could be recreated over 80 years later as a wickedly heavy and haunting track from Portugal's biggest metal export. It was recorded for a film of the same title, and the video features clips from the movie along with an amazing array of starving Zombies who seem to have a craving for Portuguese flesh.
Recently, Slash (Velvet Revolver, ex-Guns N Roses) was discussing Alice Cooper, mentioning he believes Cooper is the most dramatic and the best at on-stage horror theatrics. Thanks Slash, I guess that’s the least you can say considering you stole his top hat shtick … More...
In a recent interview with Classic Rock magazine, Slash (Velvet Revolver, ex-Guns N Roses) says that he considered Axl Rose (Guns N Roses) as one of the singers for his recent solo project, explaining that Rose would be able to sing the shit out of all of his songs. I also believe this would give the two an opportunity to bond; each day calling Steven Adler (Adler’s Appetite, ex-Guns N Roses) and ask if he wants to get the band together then yelling “psyche!” Then hanging up the phone… More...
