Selfmachine Releases "Giddy-Up!" Video Clip

Dutch modern metal act Selfmachine celebrated the release of the new album "Societal Arcade" with the video clip for the new song "Giddy-Up!" Check it out in the player below. "Societal Arcade" is out now via Wormholedeath Records.

"Giddy-Up!" is the first music video taken from "Societal Arcade." The concept for the video was created by lead singer Steven Leijen and beautifully brought to life by David Hazeleger from TDD Studios. The song touches on the subject of the stress to reach goals and the fears of not succeeding while we completely forget to live and enjoy ourselves. Life is a party, especially if you come party with Selfmachine.

The band commented: “Shooting the video for ‘Giddy-Up!’ was an awesome experience. As always we have made and arranged everything ourselves. This means we have spent a lot of free weekends building the robot, creating its lights, spray painting the metal, teaching it how to play guitar and of course how to dance! We also had the help of our friend David Hazeleger for the filming, editing and after effects. But of course we didn’t use after effects for the robot… ;)”

Selfmachine Re-Signs With Wormholedeath

Wormholedeath is proud to announce that Dutch modern metal act Selfmachine has re-signed with the label. The band is ready to enter RealSound Studio (Parma) to record their sophomore album and follow up to the 2014 debut "Broadcast Your Identity."

The band commented: "We are proud to announce that Selfmachine has re-signed with Wormholedeath Records to release our sophomore album. Two years ago, when we signed to Wormholedeath to distribute our first album, all we expected them to do was get our record out into the world and maybe send a press release or two. However, what we got was a whole lot more.

"Over the last two years, Wormholedeath has continuously supported Selfmachine in any way they could. We could always turn to them for advice and they would give it to us honestly and directly,... even if it that advice might not have been what we wanted to hear! We have also seen Wormholedeath grow and expand their business and the passion they put into their work.
In short, the last two years have been great, so when they came to us with the offer to work together on our next album, the decision wasn’t hard to make. Over the last couple of months we have already seen their invaluable input in fine-tuning the songs for Selfmachine’s next album. We are really excited to continue and expand our cooperation with Wormholedeath and we can’t wait to get into the studio to record this album. Y’all better brace yourselves,... this one is going to be a blast!"

Selfmachine Reaches "Miles Away"

Dutch groove metal act Selfmachine released a new music video for "Miles Away." The song appears on the 2014 debut album "Broadcast Your Identity," which is available now through Wormholedeath/Aural Records.

The whole music video is comprised of material that the band recorded themselves with smartphones and a GoPro camera during the lengthy European tour with The Agonist. Band members shot live shows while traveling, visiting cities like Berlin, Paris, London, Manchester, Budapest, Prague, etc6. They filmed partying in the tour bus and backstage in Manchester with the entire crew and bands. It is a real glimpse into touring life.

'"We are very excited to release this video!" states bassist Mark Brekelmans. "During our tour we filmed a lot of footage that was actually meant to be for ourselves.
