Spiritual Beggars Announces "Earth Blues" Album

Sweden's classic rock heavyweights Spiritual Beggars are currently wrapping up work on their 8th studio album, which will be entitled "Earth Blues" and is set for releas in Spring 2013 via InsideOut Music. Spiritual Beggars will celebrate the band's 20th anniversary with this release and by playing shows, including a European tour in April. Guitarist and songwriter Michael Amott comments on the album:

"We started the recording process of 'Earth Blues' with an eight day long session at 'Fat Guitar Studios' (Sweden) with knob twiddler Roberth Ekholm, a truly great dude who really knows how to capture a band jamming live, sadly a rare quality in recording engineers nowadays! We continued with some overdubs at various studios in Sweden, and it's all come together super easy this time. We're finishing up the mixes now with Staffan Karlsson at his studio in Halmstad, Sweden. Sonically, I think this might be our finest hour yet. It's a raw, heavy and honest record."

In order to promote this upcoming release as well as the band's anniversary, Spiritual Beggars has confirmed a European tour for April with support by German rockers Zodiac, as well as some European summer festivals. See below for all upcoming dates: More...

The video can be viewed through Hailsandhorns.com or in the player below.

The band comments: "We are happy to present you our first video. We've chosen the title track of our debut album "A Bit of Devil" and the look of the video fits perfect to the cover artwork. Zodiac Streaming Recent Demo

German stoner rock combo Zodiac, who released its debut demo digitally in 2011, is streaming it in full over on Bandcamp. Zodiac will be releasing this five song demo officially on May 3rd, 2012. Zodiac started when drummer Janosch Rathmer (Long Distance Calling) started jamming with guitarist Nick van Delft in 2010. Both decided that the songs that rose from their sessions had to meet the ears, so they soon joined forces with Stephan Gall (Guitar) and Robert Kahr (Bass, Organ) to form the bluesdriven, heavy and sometimes psychedelic rock-formation that came to be known as Zodiac.
