Today Pacific Northwest death grind miscreants Theories offer up the molten fruitage of their impending "Regression" full-length in its scathing entirety - listen in below courtesy of Invisible Oranges.
Captured at The Red Room and The Boiler Room with producer/engineer Derek Moree (The Sword, Pelican, Minus The Bear et al) with mixing and mastering conducted by Visceral Sound's Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed), "Regression" flaunts ten vehement tracks of jagged, confrontational, crust-infused death grind centered on the wanton truths of social discontent.
Elaborates drummer Joe Axler: "We are very fucking stoked to unleash this record onto all of y'all and feel like at this time, in 2015, with a lot of metal being released in genres that we enjoy but don't play, we wanted to make sure to make as pissed off a record as we could. Due to what seems like a lack of grind and death grind bands around right now, we hope this will make its mark and bring something to the table in the genre/scene we fit into."
You can also catch Theories live supporting the album on these dates:

No Clean Singing just hurled forth a lyric video for "Burnt Concrete" from Seattle death grind division, Theories. Check it out below.
The scathing hymn comes by way of the band's forthcoming new full-length, "Regression," set for final descent in less than two weeks via Metal Blade Records. Theories also comments on the "Burnt Concrete" track:
"Lyrically this song represents the theme of the record very well, the current, very fast decline and beginning to the end of society, civilization and our all-around existence. Our world has been going downhill for a long time now but as of recent, the downward spiral has been regressing at a hyperspeed rate.
"To sum it up, we're all fucked and there's no fixing anything now. Musically, this song represents the feel of the record as well: technical death grind. Instead of going in depth describing what it sounds like and coming up with catchy 'sub genre' phrases, just give it a listen and let the music speak for itself." More...
"Regression" is the forthcoming new full-length from Seattle death grind miscreants Theories. Set for release on March 24th via Metal Blade Records, "Regression" boasts ten tracks of grisly, unapologetic, crust-infused death grind that'll rot you from the inside out.
Captured at The Red Room and The Boiler Room with producer/engineer Derek Moree (The Sword, Pelican, Minus The Bear et al) with mixing and mastering conducted by Visceral Sound's Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed), "Regression" is the sound of social discontent, economic uncertainty, environmental catastrophes, and the inevitable cycle of decay.
The Seattle death grind terminators and recent Metal Blade signees from Theories will a drop the ferocious wares of their new full-length upon the masses this Spring.
Titled "Regression," the ten-track bruiser was recorded at The Red Room and The Boiler Room with producer/engineer Derek Moree (The Sword, Pelican, Minus The Bear et al), with mixing and mastering manned by Visceral Sound's Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed).
The resulting ten cuts make up one of the most belligerent releases from the Metal Blade stable in recent memory. The label describes "Regression" as "a gristly, fuck-all soundtrack to social discontent, economic uncertainty, environmental catastrophes, and the inevitable cycle of decay. Doused in gnashing, prototypical hyper speed blasts and sub-nuclear riff incursions, the band's meticulously-executed yet organically-scornful delivery is difficult to dismiss. Still, listeners will find moments of dissonant groove and clarity, as well guitar leads not often heard within the genre."
The track listing is:
01. Burnt Concrete
02. Cycle of Decay
04. Abortive Crescent
05. Bathing in Pigs Blood
06. First World's Last Breath
07. Swimming in Mud
09. Hell in Her Eyes
10. Landfill More...
Seattle, WA based death/grind act Theories has signed with Metal Blade Records. The band, which features former members of Book of Black Earth, Skarp, and Samothrace, has been performing across the U.S. since its inception in late 2010.
Now in 2014, Theories is preparing to release a debut full-length album. Drummer Joe Axler comments:
"After grinding hard for almost 4 years we had finally taken a (short) break from touring to record our first full length record engineered by Derek Moree at Red Room Studios and mastered by Scott Hull at Visceral Sound and are extremely excited with the results.
"During a tour around the states to Marlyand Death Fest, just after recording, we fell upon the ears of the label we will be releasing with, Metal Blade, we couldn't be happier with this new relationship and plan on continuing to go hard and bust as many fucking ear drums as possible. Grind hard or stay fucking home!" More...
Theories will embark on the band's next full-on road warrior escapade in just over one week, busting out of Portland, Oregon on Wednesday, October 2nd with seventeen more cities in line after the opening night's slaughter.
Along the way Theories will hook up with Death March and ACxDC for several shows each throughout California on the way to take part in this year's Southwest Terror Fest before trekking back north, closing with a welcome-the-fuck-back home show on the 19th.
Freshly detached from recent sessions terrorizing Red Room Studios in Seattle, Theories has completed recording for two separate upcoming releases with producer Derek Moree; one is a still-untitled debut LP, pending release on a label to be determined, as well as tracks for a split 7" with an act to be announced. This will be our third tour since we started this band about a year ago. We are very excited and feel privileged to be able to do this much touring on only a demo and our voracity to be on tour."
Following the tour, Theories will complete work on the band's newest studio effort which will be released later this year on a label to be determined. Axler adds: "After the completion of this tour we plan on staying put and finishing writing the full length we have been working on all year.
