Mayhem Mexican Show Cancelled

Mayhem, Death Angel and Metal Church's one-off performance in Mexico City, scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 23, has been cancelled, according to a posting on MAYHEM's web site. "The cancellation was due to misbooking and was no fault of the band's whatsoever," the posting adds. The one-day event, dubbed "Festival del Muerto", was also set to feature several local acts, including Men At Arms, Garrobos, Damn Shark and The Zephyr.

3 Inches of Blood Guitarists Leave, Tour Dates

To confirm, (guitarists) Bobby Froese and Sunny Dhak are no longer part of the band. The two of them decided they could no longer commit to touring and needed to deal with some personal matters. Naturally, we were all quite shocked and disappointed by their decision, but after much discussion we understand why they needed to do this and we wish them the best.

We decided afterwards that we didn't want to call it a day, so we've recruited the guitar talents of Justin Hagberg from war-metallers Allfather, and Shane Clark who plays in Ten Miles Wide and The Almighty Punchdrunk.

We're also pleased to announce that we'll be doing a tour of the U.S.A. as main support for Metal Church.

Mayhem, Death Angel, Metal Church Mexico City Gig

Mayhem, Death Angel, Metal Church will be teaming up for a one-off performance in Mexico City on October 23 at the VDMAS. The one-day event, dubbed "El Festival del Muerto", will also feature several local bands, including Men At Arms, Garrobos, Damn Shark and The Zephyr. Metal Church Jam With Old Friends

Metal Church's official web site has been updated with photos of the band jamming with former members, original bassist Duke Erickson and guitarist John Marshall, at Hell's Kitchen in Tacoma, WA on July 9 and at The Last Day in Santa Rosa, CA on June 24, respectively. Metal Church's new album, "The Weight of the World", is scheduled for release on July 26 through SPV Records. The group's current lineup consists of guitarists Kurdt Vanderhoof and Jay Reynolds (ex-Malice), vocalist Ronny Munroe (ex-Rottweiller), drummer Kirk Arrington and bassist Steve Unger.
