"Hi, I was at the classic rock music awards on the 9th of November giving the mighty Scorpions the metal guru award. It was a good night out! Gene Simmons was the host compare and did a great job.
"Biff Byford / Saxon @ Metalfest Germany 2011I was out drinking till 5.30 in the morning can't remember anything else.
"Congratulations to our agent Steve Strange to winning the agent of the year award. COME ON!!!! Tour is going great. Good to see Anvil and Crimes Of Passion again. Sat in Salzburg at the moment freezing. Vienna tomorrow I will do a video blog from there.

Saxon has issued the following announcement about Biff Byford appearing on VH1's "That Metal Show:"
"Mark your calenders for Saturday, December 10 at 11 p.m., and watch as Biff Byford joins Eddie Trunk on VH1 Classic's 'That Metal Show.'
"Living up to the programs motto of 'Distilling decades of your favorite hard rock and heavy metal into sixty minutes of mayhem,' Biff will be featured along with Megadeth guitarist Chris Broderick and Marilyn Manson, who has a confession to make about the influence Saxon made on him as a young man.

Saxon announced another round of U.K. live dates for December 2011 to round out the "Call To Arms World Tour." Sweden's HammerFall will provide support. The dates for the tour are as follows.

Anvil announced that it will support Saxon on a fall European tour beginning in November. Anvil recently released a best of album entitled "Monuments Of Metal" and Saxon is currently on tour supporting the latest LP "Call To Arms."

"We are happy to announce that we added Vanderbuyst for the first three Spanish shows. Vanderbuyst were already touring with Saxon on the first European part of the Call To Arms world tour.
"Crimes of Passion who will be opener this time in the continental European part will open also in their home town Sheffield for Saxon. Get you tickets now and see you on tour!

"Gig in South America changed: the show on the 20th from Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) was moved to Barraca Biruta, Fortaleza (Brazil).
"We have now successfully moved the show originally scheduled for Thursday, September 29th in Santa Rosa at The Last Day Saloon to Saturday, October 1, 2011.
"We are looking at another gig, to fill the 29th of September and will let you know ASAP. Watch out for updates."

Saxon's Biff Byford has checked in with the following recap of recent shows and announcement about upcoming tour dates:
"Just got back from Japan. The shows in Spain with Priest were fantastic. Great audience and good to meet them again and Motörhead. Shows in Tokyo were special. First band there after earthquake so they said great atmosphere and we spent some time at the meet and greet.
"We are announcing further shows soon which will make this tour the longest for many years I think. It will be around 150 days since March all around the world. I am working on setting more charity meet and greets will be talking to the promoters when dates get confirmed. So off for a well earned rest and a curry, next show Poland and then holidays. Saxon's new album "Call To Arms" has already dropped in Europe, and the album is planned for release on September 27th, 2011 for North America. The band has now issued the following brief update about the release dates for Japan and Brazil:
"Call To Arms will be in stores in Japan on the 25th of July and hit the stores in Brazil and Argentina on the 25th of August. Check out your local dealer or get ready for the download!"
